Claims
- 1. An apparatus, controlled by a computer, for finishing vessel surfaces and painting of the hull and superstructure surfaces of a marine vessel having a hull, comprising a plurality of robots, controlled by said computer, mounted on a track and movable relative to said marine vessel, a plurality of tools attachable to each and all of said robots for mapping the surface contours of said vessel, and for painting said surfaces, wherein said tools are provided for applying a fairing compound to said surfaces where imperfections are found and tools are provided for sanding said surfaces to prepare them for painting.
