1. Technical Field
The present disclosure relates to a computer enclosure with height-adjusting feet.
2. Description of Related Art
Electronic devices such as notebooks are usually positioned on a platform such as a table when in use. An enclosure of the notebook directly contacts with the platform when the notebook is positioned on the platform. A friction between the enclosure and the platform may break the enclosure of the notebook. The directly contact between the enclosure and the platform may also affect heat dissipation of the notebook.
Therefore, there is a need for improvement in the art.
Many aspects of the embodiments can be better understood with reference to the following drawings. The components in the drawings are not necessarily drawn to scale, the emphasis instead being placed upon clearly illustrating the principles of the embodiments. Moreover, in the drawings, like reference numerals designate corresponding parts throughout the several views.
The disclosure is illustrated by way of example and not by way of limitation in the figures of the accompanying drawings in which like references indicate similar elements. It should be noted that references to “an” or “one” embodiment in this disclosure are not necessarily to the same embodiment, and such references mean “at least one.”
Two pushing members 50 are mounted on the enclosure base 10 and respectively connected to the two adjusting feet 30. A first mounting hole 51 is defined in a first terminal of each of the two pushing members 50. A second mounting hole 52 is defined in a second terminal of each of the two pushing members 50. Two connecting poles 60 are fixed on the enclosure base 10 connected to the pivoting axes 40 and the pushing members 50. Each of the two connecting poles 60 includes a first connecting portion 61 and a second connecting portion 62 perpendicularly extending from the first connecting portion 61. Two third pivoting portions 611 protrude from two sides of the first connecting portion 61. A column-shaped first mounting portion 621 extends from the second connecting portion 62. A first supporting portion 31 extends from a top surface of each of the two adjusting feet 30. A second mounting portion 311 extends from the first supporting portion 31. In one embodiment, a aperture of the first mounting hole 51 is equal to a diameter of the first mounting portion 621. A aperture of the second mounting hole 52 is equal to a diameter of the second mounting portion 311.
Two accommodating holes 11 are defined in the enclosure base 10 to receive the adjusting feet 30. Two second supporting portions 12 extend from a top surface of the enclosure base 10. A pivoting hole 121 is defined in each of the two second supporting portions 12. Two through holes 13 are defined in the enclosure base 10 adjacent to the two second supporting portions 12. Two third mounting holes 21 are defined in the enclosure cover 20. In one embodiment, a diameter of the third pivoting portion 611 is equal to a aperture of the pivoting hole 121. A diameter of the adjusting feet 30 is equal to a aperture of the accommodating hole 11.
Referring to
The two adjusting feet 30 can extend out of the enclosure base 10 and rest on a platform such as a desktop when installed on the enclosure base 10. When the enclosure cover 20 is rotated away from the enclosure base 10, the two pivoting axes 40 rotate together with the enclosure cover 20. When the two pivoting axes 40 rotate until the protrusion blocks 421 resist against the connecting poles 60, the protrusion blocks 421 lift up the first terminal of the first connecting portion 61. The second connecting portions 62 thus push the adjusting feet 30 down out of the enclosure base 10 from the accommodating holes 11. The two adjusting feet 30 take the weight of the enclosure base 10 on the platform. The two adjusting feet 30 increase a heat dissipation space between the enclosure base 10 and the platform. Therefore, a heat dissipation efficiency of the enclosure base 10 is improved.
When the enclosure cover 20 is rotated toward the enclosure base 10, the two pivoting axes 40 rotate together with the enclosure cover 20. The two pivoting axes 40 pivot the protrusion blocks 421 away from the connecting poles 60, the protrusion blocks 421 drop down onto terminals of the first connecting portion 61. The second connecting portions 62 thus retract the adjusting feet 30 back into the inside of the enclosure base 10 in the accommodating holes 11. The two adjusting feet 30 allow the enclosure base 10 and the enclosure cover 20 to sink down onto the platform.
Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present disclosure have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the disclosure, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in detail, especially in the matters of shape, size, and the arrangement of parts within the principles of the disclosure to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
