Claims
- 1. A computer system, comprising:a first sub-chassis; a second sub-chassis coupled to the first sub-chassis; a cooling fan positioned adjacent an interface between the first sub-chassis and the second sub-chassis, wherein airflow from the cooling fan is configured to pass from the first sub-chassis through the cooling fan and to the second sub-chassis during use; a bezel configured to couple to a front of the first sub-chassis.
- 2. The computer system of claim 1, further comprising a side panel configured to abut against the bezel, wherein the side panel comprises openings such that air flows into the first sub-chassis through openings in the side panel adjacent the bezel.
- 3. The computer system of claim 1, wherein the bezel forms a first sideways gap between the front of the first sub-chassis and the bezel, wherein the first sideways gap extends from the front of the first sub-chassis to a first predetermined width and stretches to a first predetermined length along the front of the first sub-chassis, thereby allowing airflow into the first sub-chassis through the first sideways gap upon activation of the cooling fan.
- 4. The computer system of claim 1, further comprising a chassis cover with a net formed therein, wherein the net comprises a plurality of openings, and wherein the chassis cover is inserted between the front of the first sub-chassis and the bezel.
- 5. The computer system of claim 1, wherein the second sub-chassis is configured to house a motherboard.
- 6. The computer system of claim 1, wherein a wall of the second sub-chassis forms a separate enclosure configured to house a power supply.
- 7. The computer system of claim 3, wherein the bezel is curved along the first predetermined length.
- 8. The computer system of claim 3, wherein the bezel forms a second sideways gap between the front of the chassis and the bezel, and wherein the second sideways gap extends from the front of the chassis to a second predetermined width and stretches to a second predetermined length along the front of the chassis, and wherein the second sideways gap further allows the ambient cooling air to be sucked into the chassis upon activation of the one or more cooling fans.
- 9. The computer system of claim 3, wherein the edge of the bezel at the first sideways gap is linear along the first predetermined length, thereby keeping the first predetermined width constant over the first predetermined length.
- 10. A computer system chassis comprising:a front sub-chassis formed of a first plurality of walls; a rear sub-chassis formed of a second plurality of walls, wherein the rear sub-chassis is configured to be fastened to the front sub-chassis, and wherein a first wall one of the second plurality of walls partitions the front and the rear sub-chassis when the rear sub-chassis is fastened to the front sub-chassis; and a peripheral assembly coupled to a first opening in a first one wall of the first plurality of walls of the front sub-chassis, the peripheral assembly comprising: an access panel having an opening configured to allow a first means for storage or a second means for storage to be inserted into the sub-chassis opening; a first filler plate configured to be detachably attached to the access panel opening and to partially enclose the access panel opening when attached thereto, wherein the first filler plate is detached from the access panel opening when the first means for storage is to be inserted into the first sub-chassis opening; and a second filler plate configured to be detachably attached to the first filler plate, wherein the first filler plate and the second filler plate substantially enclose the access panel opening when attached thereto, and wherein the second filler plate is detached from the first filler plate when the second means for storage is to be inserted into the opening in the first sub-chassis.
- 11. The computer system chassis of claim 10, further comprising a cage configured to be positioned within the front sub-chassis.
- 12. The computer system chassis of claim 10, wherein the rear sub-chassis comprises:a first portion including: the first one wall of the second plurality of walls, and a second one wall of the second plurality of walls; and a second portion configured to be inserted into and to be fastened to the first portion, wherein the second portion includes a third one wall of the second plurality of walls, wherein the third one wall of the second plurality of walls and the second one wall of the second plurality of walls form two sides of an enclosure created upon insertion of the second portion into the first portion.
- 13. The computer system chassis of claim 10, further comprising a cooling fan coupled to the front sub-chassis adjacent to the rear sub-chassis, wherein the cooling fan is configured to draw air into the front sub-chassis and blow air into the rear sub-chassis.
- 14. The computer system chassis of claim 12, wherein the enclosure is configured to house a power supply unit.
- 15. A computer system housing comprising:a first sub-chassis; a second sub-chassis coupled to the first sub-chassis; a cooling fan adjacent to an interface between the first sub-chassis and the second sub-chassis; and a peripheral assembly coupled to an opening in the first sub-chassis comprising an access panel having an opening configured to allow a first component or a second component to be inserted into the first opening of the sub-chassis.
- 16. The computer system of claim 15, wherein the peripheral assembly further comprises:a first filler plate configured to be detachably attached to the access panel opening and to partially enclose the access panel opening when attached thereto, wherein the first filler plate is detached from the access opening when the first component is to be inserted into the opening in the first sub-chassis; and a second filler plate configured to be detachably attached to the first filler plate, wherein the first filler plate and the second filler plate substantially enclose the access panel opening when attached thereto, and wherein the second filler plate is detached from the first filler plate when the second component is to be inserted into the opening in the first sub-chassis.
- 17. The computer system of claim 15, further comprising a cage configured to be positioned within the front sub-chassis, wherein the cage is configured to support a means for storage.
- 18. The computer system of claim 15, wherein the first component is a means for storage.
- 19. The computer system of claim 15 wherein the second component is a means for storage.
- 20. The computer system of claim 15, further comprising a bezel, wherein the bezel forms a first sideways gap between the front of the first sub-chassis and the bezel, wherein the first sideways gap extends from the front of the first sub-chassis to a first predetermined width and stretches to a first predetermined length along the front of the first sub-chassis, thereby allowing airflow into the first sub-chassis through the first sideways gap upon activation of the cooling fan.
