Computer Table That Is Folded and Expanded Easily and Quickly

Abstract

A computer table includes a frame assembly, a board assembly detachably mounted on the frame assembly, and a shelf detachably mounted on the frame assembly. The frame assembly includes two side frames each pivotally connected with a rear frame. The board assembly includes a plurality of connecting posts each mounted between a support board and a movable board. The shelf includes two connecting brackets each pivotally connected with a support plate and each detachably mounted on a respective one of the two side frames. Thus, the frame assembly, the board assembly and the shelf are detached from each other and are folded individually so that the computer table can be detached and folded to have the minimum volume so as to decrease the cost of packaging, storage and transportation of the computer table.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a table and, more particularly, to a computer table for mounting a computer.

2. Description of the Related Art

A conventional computer table is used for mounting a computer to facilitate a user operating the computer. However, the conventional computer table cannot be folded to have a smaller volume when not in use, thereby increasing the cost of packaging, storage and transportation of the computer table. In addition, the conventional computer table cannot be assembled and disassembled easily and quickly, thereby causing inconvenience to a user when assembling and disassembling the computer table.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a computer table, comprising a frame assembly, a board assembly detachably mounted on a top of the frame assembly, and a shelf detachably mounted on the frame assembly and located on a top of the board assembly.

The frame assembly includes a rear frame and two side frames pivotally mounted on the rear frame. The board assembly includes a support board detachably mounted on the two side frames and the rear frame of the frame assembly, a movable board movable relative to the support board, and a plurality of connecting posts each mounted between the support board and the movable board and each having an upper end pivotally connected with the support board and a lower end pivotally connected with the movable board. The shelf includes a support plate and two connecting brackets each pivotally connected with the support plate and each detachably mounted on a respective one of the two side frames of the frame assembly.

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a computer table that is folded and expanded easily and quickly.

According to the primary advantage of the present invention, the frame assembly, the board assembly and the shelf are detached from each other and are folded individually when no in user so that the computer table can be detached and folded to have the minimum volume so as to greatly decrease the cost of packaging, storage and transportation of the computer table.

According to another advantage of the present invention, the frame assembly, the board assembly and the shelf are combined with and detached from each other so that the computer table is assembled and disassembled easily and quickly, thereby facilitating a user assembling and disassembling the computer table.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. 1-5, a computer table in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a frame assembly 1, a board assembly 2 detachably mounted on a top of the frame assembly 1, and a shelf 3 detachably mounted on the frame assembly 1 and located on a top of the board assembly 2.

The frame assembly 1 includes a rear frame 12 and two side frames 10 pivotally mounted on the rear frame 12. The rear frame 12 of the frame assembly 1 has two opposite ends each having an upper portion and a lower portion each provided with a first pivot section 120. The rear frame 12 of the frame assembly 1 has a surface provided with two movable fastening snaps 122. Each of the two side frames 10 of the frame assembly 1 has a rear end having an upper portion and a lower portion each provided with a second pivot section 13 pivotally connected with the respective first pivot section 120 of the rear frame 12 by a pivot pin 121 so that the rear end of each of the two side frames 10 is pivotally connected with the rear frame 12. Each of the two side frames 10 of the frame assembly 1 has a front end having an upper portion formed with an elongate locking slot 11.

The board assembly 2 includes a support board 20 detachably mounted on the two side frames 10 and the rear frame 12 of the frame assembly 1, a movable board 23 movable relative to the support board 20, and a plurality of connecting posts 24 each mounted between the support board 20 and the movable board 23 and each having an upper end pivotally connected with the support board 20 and a lower end pivotally connected with the movable board 23.

The board assembly 2 further includes two locking pieces 21 each mounted on a front end of the support board 20 and each inserted into and detachably locked in the locking slot 11 of a respective one of the two side frames 10 to attach the support board 20 of the board assembly 2 to the two side frames 10 of the frame assembly.

The board assembly 2 further includes two stepped fastening stubs 22 each mounted on a rear end of the support board 20, and the two movable fastening snaps 122 of the rear frame 12 are detachably snapped onto the two stepped fastening stubs 22 of the board assembly 2 to attach the support board 20 of the board assembly 2 to the rear frame 12 of the frame assembly 1.

As shown in FIGS. 6-11, at least one of the connecting posts 24 of the board assembly 2 is provided with an upper projection 241 and a lower projection 242. The board assembly 2 further includes at least one first fixed bracket 25 mounted on the support board 20, and at least one first locking plate 251 having a first end pivotally connected with the at least one first fixed bracket 25 and a second end formed with a first locking slot 252 detachably locked onto the upper projection 241 of the at least one of the connecting posts 24. The board assembly 2 further includes at least one second fixed bracket 26 mounted on the support board 20, and at least one second locking plate 261 having a first end pivotally connected with the at least one second fixed bracket 26 and a second end formed with a second locking slot 262 detachably locked onto the lower projection 242 of the at least one of the connecting posts 24.

In such a manner, when the first locking slot 252 of the at least one first locking plate 251 is locked onto the upper projection 241 of the at least one of the connecting posts 24 as shown in FIG. 11, the connecting posts 24 are perpendicular to the support board 20 and the movable board 23 as shown in FIG. 9 so that the movable board 23 is parallel with and spaced from the support board 20. Thus, the movable board 23 is expanded for use with a user.

Alternatively, when the second locking slot 262 of the at least one second locking plate 261 is locked onto the lower projection 242 of the at least one of the connecting posts 24 as shown in FIG. 7, the connecting posts 24 are rested on the support board 20 as shown in FIG. 6 so that the movable board 23 movable to abut the support board 20. Thus, the movable board 23 is folded when not in use.

As shown in FIGS. 12-15, the shelf 3 includes a support plate 30 and two connecting brackets 31 each pivotally connected with the support plate 30 and each detachably mounted on a respective one of the two side frames 10 of the frame assembly 1. Each of the two connecting brackets 31 of the shelf 3 has a substantially U-shaped profile and has a first portion pivotally mounted on the support plate 30 by a hinge 311 as shown in FIG. 14 and a second portion inserted into and locked in the respective side frame 10 of the frame assembly 1 by a threaded locking knob 4 as shown in FIG. 13. The threaded locking knob 4 is extended through each of the two side frames 10 of the frame assembly 1 and is screwed into the second portion of each of the two connecting brackets 31 of the shelf 3. In such a manner, the two connecting brackets 31 of the shelf 3 can be expanded as shown in FIG. 14 to attach the shelf 3 to the frame assembly 1 and can be folded as shown in FIG. 15 to fold the shelf 3 when not in use.

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 16, after the board assembly 2 and the shelf 3 are removed from the frame assembly 1, each of the two side frames 10 is pivoted relative to the rear frame 12 so that each of the two side frames 10 can be moved to abut the rear frame 12 so as to fold the frame assembly 1 as shown in FIG. 16.

As shown in FIG. 17, the computer table further comprises a placing rack 5 removably attached to a side of the support board 20 by two mounting brackets 51. Each of the two mounting brackets 51 has a substantially U-shaped profile and is detachably locked onto the support board 20 of the board assembly 2 by a threaded fastening knob 40. The fastening knob 40 is screwed into each of the two mounting brackets 51 and presses the support board 20 of the board assembly 2.

As shown in FIGS. 18 and 19, the rear frame 12 of the frame assembly 1 has a mediate portion provided with a housing 125 to receive at least one electric cord 127, and the frame assembly 1 further includes a plurality of hanging hooks 123 mounted in the housing 125 for hanging and winding the electric cord 127, and a cover 124 mounted on the housing 125 to cover the hanging hooks 123 and the electric cord 127. The housing 125 of the frame assembly 1 has a surface formed with a plurality of passages 126 to allow passage of the electric cord 127.

Accordingly, the frame assembly 1, the board assembly 2 and the shelf 3 are detached from each other and are folded individually when no in user so that the computer table can be detached and folded to have the minimum volume so as to greatly decrease the cost of packaging, storage and transportation of the computer table. In addition, the frame assembly 1, the board assembly 2 and the shelf 3 are combined with and detached from each other so that the computer table is assembled and disassembled easily and quickly, thereby facilitating a user assembling and disassembling the computer table.

Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.

Claims

1. A computer table, comprising: a frame assembly;a board assembly detachably mounted on a top of the frame assembly; anda shelf detachably mounted on the frame assembly and located on a top of the board assembly;wherein the frame assembly includes:a rear frame; andtwo side frames pivotally mounted on the rear frame;the board assembly includes:a support board detachably mounted on the two side frames and the rear frame of the frame assembly;a movable board movable relative to the support board; anda plurality of connecting posts each mounted between the support board and the movable board and each having an upper end pivotally connected with the support board and a lower end pivotally connected with the movable board;the shelf includes:a support plate; andtwo connecting brackets each pivotally connected with the support plate and each detachably mounted on a respective one of the two side frames of the frame assembly.

The computer table of claim 1, wherein each of the two side frames of the frame assembly has a front end having an upper portion formed with an elongate locking slot;the board assembly further includes two locking pieces each mounted on a front end of the support board and each inserted into and detachably locked in the locking slot of a respective one of the two side frames to attach the support board of the board assembly to the two side frames of the frame assembly.

The computer table of claim 1, wherein the board assembly further includes two stepped fastening stubs each mounted on a rear end of the support board;the rear frame of the frame assembly has a surface provided with two movable fastening snaps which are detachably snapped onto the two stepped fastening stubs of the board assembly to attach the support board of the board assembly to the rear frame of the frame assembly.

The computer table of claim 1, wherein at least one of the connecting posts of the board assembly is provided with an upper projection and a lower projection;the board assembly further includes:at least one first fixed bracket mounted on the support board;at least one first locking plate having a first end pivotally connected with the at least one first fixed bracket and a second end formed with a first locking slot detachably locked onto the upper projection of the at least one of the connecting posts;at least one second fixed bracket mounted on the support board; andat least one second locking plate having a first end pivotally connected with the at least one second fixed bracket and a second end formed with a second locking slot detachably locked onto the lower projection of the at least one of the connecting posts.

The computer table of claim 4, wherein when the first locking slot of the at least one first locking plate is locked onto the upper projection of the at least one of the connecting posts, the connecting posts are perpendicular to the support board and the movable board so that the movable board is parallel with and spaced from the support board.

The computer table of claim 4, wherein when the second locking slot of the at least one second locking plate is locked onto the lower projection of the at least one of the connecting posts, the connecting posts are rested on the support board so that the movable board movable to abut the support board.

7. The computer table of claim 1, wherein each of the two connecting brackets of the shelf has a first portion pivotally mounted on the support plate by a hinge and a second portion inserted into and locked in the respective side frame of the frame assembly by a threaded locking knob.

8. The computer table of claim 7, wherein each of the two connecting brackets of the shelf has a substantially U-shaped profile.

9. The computer table of claim 7, wherein the threaded locking knob is extended through each of the two side frames of the frame assembly and is screwed into the second portion of each of the two connecting brackets of the shelf.

10. The computer table of claim 1, wherein the computer table further comprises a placing rack removably attached to a side of the support board by two mounting brackets.

11. The computer table of claim 10, wherein each of the two mounting brackets has a substantially U-shaped profile.

12. The computer table of claim 10, wherein each of the two mounting brackets is detachably locked onto the support board of the board assembly by a threaded fastening knob.

13. The computer table of claim 10, wherein the fastening knob is screwed into each of the two mounting brackets and presses the support board of the board assembly.

14. The computer table of claim 1, wherein the rear frame of the frame assembly has a mediate portion provided with a housing to receive at least one electric cord;the frame assembly 1 further includes:a plurality of hanging hooks mounted in the housing for hanging and winding the electric cord; anda cover mounted on the housing to cover the hanging hooks and the electric cord.

15. The computer table of claim 14, wherein the housing of the frame assembly has a surface formed with a plurality of passages to allow passage of the electric cord.

The computer table of claim 1, wherein the rear frame of the frame assembly has two opposite ends each having an upper portion and a lower portion each provided with a first pivot section;each of the two side frames of the frame assembly has a rear end having an upper portion and a lower portion each provided with a second pivot section pivotally connected with the respective first pivot section of the rear frame by a pivot pin so that the rear end of each of the two side frames is pivotally connected with the rear frame.
