Claims
- 1. A handcuff key apparatus comprising:
- a. a handcuff key case including a top and a bottom cover having an interior wall and opposite ends; and
- b. a handcuff key having at least two pieces, a first piece including a flat, rectangular latch adapted to release a handcuff lock and a second piece being pivotally mounted within the top and bottom cover of the case, the first piece and the second piece forming an angle which is less than 180.degree..
- 2. The handcuff key apparatus of claim 1 wherein the first piece and the second piece form an angle which is greater than 90.degree..
- 3. The handcuff key apparatus of claim 1 wherein the first piece and the second piece form a curved surface at a location where the pieces connect.
- 4. A handcuff key apparatus comprising:
- a. a handcuff key holder; and
- b. a handcuff key having at least two pieces, a first piece including a flat, rectangular latch adapted to release a handcuff lock and a second piece being pivotally mounted to the handcuff key holder, the first piece and the second piece forming an angle which is less than 180.degree..
- 5. The handcuff key apparatus of claim 4 wherein the handcuff key holder has a top and a bottom cover and wherein the handcuff key is mounted within the top and bottom cover of the holder.
- 6. The handcuff key apparatus of claim 4 wherein the first piece and the second piece form an angle which is greater than 90.degree..
- 7. The handcuff key apparatus of claim 6 wherein the first piece and the second piece form a curved surface at a location where the pieces connect.
- 8. A handcuff key comprising:
- at least two pieces, a first shank piece including a flat, rectangular latch adapted to release a handcuff lock and a second shank piece, the first shank piece and the second shank piece forming an angle which is greater than 90.degree. and less than 180.degree..
- 9. The handcuff key of claim 8 further comprising a connector piece, the second piece being pivotally mounted to the connector piece.
- 10. The handcuff key of claim 9 wherein the connector piece includes a housing, the first piece and second piece fitting within the housing.
