- 5. An apparatus assembly as claimed in claim 1 for forming a compound dessert including a support base secured to said ring shaped pan.
- 6. An apparatus assembly as claimed in claim 5 for forming a compound dessert in a predetermined shape comprising wherein said support base is a ring member having an arcuate side wall and a planar bottom surface.
- 7. An apparatus assembly as claimed in claim 1 wherein said inner pan of said cover assembly is constructed of a porous material allowing airflow therethrough while preventing a food composition positioned adjacent said bowl from flowing therethrough.
- 8. An apparatus assembly as claimed in claim 1 wherein non-stick material is coated on an outer surface and an inner surface of said inner pan.
- 9. An apparatus as claimed in claim 1 wherein said support member has a flat planar surface with handles on opposite sides
- 10. An apparatus as claimed in claim 1 wherein said outer ring shaped pan has interior walls which form a funnel shaped central structure.
- 11. An apparatus as claimed in claim 1 wherein said funnel shaped structure has an upper planar surface.
- 12. An apparatus as claimed in claim 1 wherein said support member is a planar skirt having a plurality of perforations.
- 13. An apparatus assembly for forming a compound dessert in a predetermined shape comprising:
a first outer pan comprising a ring shaped pan with an exterior said wall, a bottom and an interior side wall forming a central truncated funnel member, said ring shaped pan having its bottom closed and top open to define a ring shaped cavity, handles mounted to said first outer pan and extending outward from said pan; and a cover assembly comprising a closure member with a planar support member defining a second inner ring shaped pan with a closed end, side walls and an open end of lesser width then the width of said first outer pan ring shaped cavity, said planar support member provided with handles which are removably mounted to said first outer pan handles to allow the first outer pan and cover assembly to be selectively secured together, said planar support member defining a plurality of throughgoing apertures.
- 14. An apparatus assembly as claimed in claim 13 for forming a compound dessert in a predetermined shape wherein said cover assembly handles have an end section with one portion directed back toward said second inner ring shaped pan to fit around the distal ends of said outer pan handles.
- 15. An apparatus for forming a foodstuff in a predetermined shape comprising:
a first ring shaped outer pan having a lip extending around its outer circumference and handles mounted to and extending from said outer pan; a cover assembly mounted to said outer pan, said cover assembly comprising a second ring shaped inner pan having a width and depth which is less than said outer pan and being adapted to be mounted in said first ring shaped outer pan, a skirt member extending from the circumference of said inner ring shaped pan so that when said cover assembly is mounted to said ring shaped outer pan, said outer and inner ring shaped pans are mounted together in a nesting relationship, said skirt member defining a plurality of throughgoing holes therein to allow steam to escape during cooking; and opposing handles mounted on said skirt member, said handles defining a mounting means which engages said outer pan handles.
- 16. An apparatus as claimed in claim 15 wherein said skirt member handles define a bent flange having a cross section which is substantially “C” shaped.
- 17. An apparatus as claimed in claim 15 wherein an inner surface of said first outer ring shaped pan and said second inner pan and an outer surface of said inner pan are coated with a nonstick material.
- 18. An apparatus as claimed in claim 15 wherein outwardly extending tab members are secured to said skirt member handles.
- 19. An apparatus as claimed in claim 18 wherein one tab member is secured to each handle, said tab members being oppositely positioned with respect to opposing handles.
- 20. An apparatus as claimed in claim 15 wherein said outer pan handles have a downwardly extending tab member secured thereto.
- 21. An apparatus as claimed in claim 15 wherein said outer pan has batter fill indicia embossed therein.
- 22. An apparatus for forming a foodstuff in a predetermined shape comprising:
a first ring shaped outer pan having a lip extending around its outer circumference, handles mounted on an exterior surface of said outer pan, said ring shaped outer pan defining a central support structure; a cover assembly mounted to said ring shaped outer pan, said cover assembly comprising a second ring shaped inner pan which is adapted to be mounted in said outer pan and a skirt member extending from the circumference of said inner ring shaped pan, said first and second ring shaped pans being mounted together in a nesting relationship, said skirt member defining a plurality of throughgoing holes therein which are positioned over a cavity formed in said first ring shaped pan; and opposing handles are mounted on said skirt member, each of said handles defining a curved flange which engages a bottom surface of said outer pan handle to hold the same in a fixed position.
- 23. An apparatus as claimed in claim 22 wherein said handle curved flange has a cross section which is substantially “C” shaped.
- 24. An apparatus as claimed in claim 22 wherein an inner surface of said first outer pan and said second inner pan and an outer surface of said second inner pan are coated with a nonstick material.
