Claims
- 1. A cement composition for making concrete molding of high strength by steam curing comprising Portland cement, 3-30% by weight of insoluble (Type II) anhydrous calcium sulfate based on the weight of said Portland cement, 3% by weight or less of powders of puzzolanic material based on the weight of the Portland cement, and 0.1-3% by weight of cement dispersing agent based on the weight of the Portland cement, said soluble (Type II) anhydrous calcium sulfate being such that when contacting 1 g of insoluble (Type II) anhydrous calcium sulfate with 100 g of a 0.05% by weight Na.sub.2 HPO.sub.4 aqueous solution at 20.degree. C. for a period of one hour while stirring, the concentration of SO.sub.4 ions in said solution is 0.03-0.12% by weight, and said Portland cement being substantially free from 11CaO.7Al.sub.2 O.sub.3.CaX.sub.2 wherein X represents a halogen atom.
- 2. The cement composition as claimed in claim 1 wherein said cement dispersing agent is a salt of condensate of .beta.-naphthalene sulfonic acid with formalin and/or a dispersant modified with sulfurous acid or sulfuric acid and containing as a main ingredient amino-S-triazine having at least two NH.sub.2 groups and wherein 0.5-2% by weight of said dispersing agent is incorporated based on the weight of the Portland cement.
- 3. The cement composition as claimed in claim 1 wherein the amount of insoluble (Type II) anhydrous calcium sulfate to be added is 5-20% by weight based on the weight of the Portland cement.
- 4. The cement composition as claimed in claim 1 wherein said puzzolanic material is selected from the group consisting of silica flour, clay silicate and fly ash.
- 5. The cement composition as claimed in claim 1 wherein said concentration of SO.sub.4 ions in said solution is 0.05-0.10% by weight.
- 6. The cement composition as claimed in claim 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5, further comprising 3% by weight or less of Al.sub.2 (SO.sub.4).sub.3.16-17 H.sub.2 O based on the weight of the Portland cement.
- 7. The cement composition as claimed in claim 1 wherein puzzolanic material is present in an amount of from 0.8 to 2% by weight based on the weight of the Portland cement.
- 8. A concrete molding of high strength obtained by the steam curing of a cement composition, the cement composition comprising Portland cement, 3-30% by weight of insoluble (Type II) anhydrous calcium sulfate based on the weight of said Portland cement, 3% by weight or less of puzzolanic material based on the weight of the Portland cement, and 0.1-3% by weight of cement-dispersing agent based on the weight of the Portland cement, said insoluble Type II anhydrous calcium sulfate being such that when contacting 1 g of insoluble (Type II) anhydrous calcium sulfate with 100 g of a 0.05% by weight Na.sub.2 HPO.sub.4 aqueous solution at 20.degree. C. for a period of one hour while stirring, the concentration of SO.sub.4.sup.-- ions in said solution is 0.03-0.12% by weight, and said Portland cement being substantially free from 11CaO.7Al.sub.2 O.sub.3.CaX.sub.2 wherein X represents a halogen atom.
