Claims
- 1. A concrete forming panel comprising:
a face sheet having a perimeter, a front side for receiving concrete there against, and a back side; and loose parts retaining structure on said back side at a location spaced inwardly from said perimeter of the face sheet, said retaining structure including an annular brush ring having resilient bristles that project generally inwardly toward one another and terminate in free ends that cooperate to define a loose parts receiving and gripping hole.
- 2. A concrete forming panel as set forth in claim 1,
said retaining structure further including a wall supporting said brush ring and having a clearance opening aligned with said hole for avoiding interference with a loose part received and gripped within the hole.
- 3. A concrete forming panel as set forth in claim 2,
said brush ring being mounted beside said opening.
- 4. A concrete forming panel as set forth in claim 3,
said wall having a marginal portion circumscribing said opening, said brush ring including an annular base supporting said bristles, said base of the brush ring abutting said marginal portion of the wall.
- 5. A concrete forming panel as set forth in claim 4,
said wall having a retaining track for said brush ring, said brush ring being retained on said wall by being wedged within said track.
- 6. A concrete forming panel as set forth in claim 5,
said wall and said track comprising parts of an extruded member.
- 7. A concrete forming panel as set forth in claim 1,
further comprising a frame including at least one stiffening member on said back side of the face sheet to rigidify the face sheet, said brush ring being mounted on said stiffening member.
- 8. A concrete forming panel as set forth in claim 7,
said frame including a pair of opposite side rails at the perimeter of the face sheet, said stiffening member extending horizontally between and interconnecting said side rails.
- 9. A concrete forming panel as set forth in claim 8,
further comprising a second horizontal stiffening member spaced vertically from the first-mentioned horizontal stiffening member and extending between and interconnecting said side rails, further comprising a vertical stiffening member extending between and interconnecting said first-mentioned horizontal stiffening member and said second horizontal stiffening member.
- 10. A concrete forming panel as set forth in claim 7,
said stiffening member extending vertically on said back side of the face sheet.
- 11. A concrete forming panel as set forth in claim 1,
said retaining structure including a member that is generally T-shaped in cross-section, presenting a wall and a cross-head that intersects said wall at right angles thereto along one extremity thereof and projects in opposite directions therefrom, said brush ring being mounted on said wall.
- 12. A concrete forming panel as set forth in claim 11,
said wall being affixed along an opposite extremity thereof to said back side of the face sheet and extending generally edgewise outwardly therefrom.
- 13. A concrete forming panel as set forth in claim 11,
said cross-head being affixed to said back side of the face sheet, said wall projecting outwardly from the cross-head.
- 14. A concrete forming panel as set forth in claim 2,
said wall having a pair of opposite sides, further comprising a pair of axially aligned brush rings supported on opposite sides of said wall.
- 15. A concrete forming panel as set forth in claim 14,
said wall having a pair of retaining tracks, one on each side of the wall, each of said retaining tracks retaining a brush ring beside the opening.
