Claims
- 1. Concrete product manufacturing system comprising:
- (a) storage means for supplying raw materials, including aggregates and cement;
- (b) mixer means positioned to receive said raw materials from said storage means and for mixing said raw materials with liquids to continuously form wet concrete mixture;
- (c) receiver means adjacent said mixer means and in position at all times for continuously receiving said wet concrete mixture from said mixer means;
- (d) substantially stationary mold means adjacent said receiver means for repeatedly receiving charges of said wet concrete mixture from said receiver means to form precured concrete products, said receiver means being mounted for reciprocal movement between a first position in which said mold means is directly beneath said receiver means to a second position in which said mold means is not beneath said receiver means; and
- (e) cubing means adjacent said mold means for successively receiving said precured products from said mold means and stacking said precured products in layers.
- 2. Concrete product manufacturing system as set forth in claim 1 in which said cubing means includes squeeze means movable in a direction perpendicular to the direction of movement of said products from said mold means to said cubing means for bringing said precured concrete products together to close longitudinal voids created by the removal of said precured products from said mold means.
- 3. Concrete product manufacturing system as set forth in claim 1 including heating means, adjacent said cubing means, for heating and shrinking a water impermeable bag placed around stacked layers of precured concrete products to sealingly enclose said stacked layers of precured concrete products within a water impermeable barrier.
- 4. Concrete product manufacturing system as set forth in claim 3 in which said water impermeable barrier is a thermoplastic material and in which said heating means comprises a heating hood which is positionable around said stacked layers of precured concrete products to shrink fit said thermoplastic material around said stacked layers of precured concrete products.
- 5. Concrete product manufacturing system as set forth in claim 1 in which said mold means is provided with vibration means to vibrate said mold means when receiving said wet concrete mixture charges.
- 6. Concrete product manufacturing system as set forth in claim 1 in which said mold means is provided with plunger means movable from a first position, after said wet concrete mixture charges are received, to a second position to eject said precured concrete products from said mold means.
- 7. Concrete product manufacturing system as set forth in claim 6 in which said plunger means is movable from said second position to said first position as said wet concrete mixture charges are being received to create a partial vacuum in said mold means.
