Claims
- 1- A condiment mill having a container for containing unground condiment, a grinder including rotor and stator elements and means for rotatably driving said rotor element relative to said stator element to grind said condiment, the stator element being fixably attached to said container, comprising:
a set of coarse ginding elements formed on said rotor; a set of fine grinding elements formed on said rotor; and adjuster means for selectively adjusting the position of the rotor element relative to the stator element to a first position to provide coarse grinding of said condiment and a second position whereat the fine grinding elements finely grind the comdiment subsequent to the coarse grinding thereof.
- 2- The device of claim 1 and further including a latch for removably latching said rotor element to said means for rotatably driving said rotor element.
- 3- The device of claim 2 wherein said latching means comprises a latch member having an elongated aperture formed therethrough, said rotor having an aperture formed therethrough similar to that of said latch member, said drive means comprising a shaft having a latching member on its remote end which fits through the apertures formed in the rotor and latch member and latches to said rotor and latch members when rotated relative thereto.
- 4- The device of claim 1 wherein the coarse grinding elements are fluted.
- 5- The device of claim 1 wherein the fine grinding elements are serrated.
- 6- The device of claim 1 wherein the stator element has a plurality of protruding bosses formed on the inner surface thereof.
- 7- The device of claim 1 where said adjuster means includes a plurality of indented portions formed in the wall of said container, an adjuster control rotatably mounted on said container, said adjuster control having a plurality of tabs formed thereon, said tabs variously entering said indented portions in abutment thereaagainst as said adjuster control is rotated, and a spring for urging said adjuster tabs against said indented portions.
- 8- A condiment mill having a container for containing unground condiment, a grinder including rotor and stator elements and means for rotatably driving said rotor element relative to said stator element to grind said condiment, the stator element being fixably attached to said container, comprising:
a set of coarse ginding elements formed on said rotor element; a set of fine grinding elements formed on said rotor element; and latching means for removably latching said rotor element to said means for rotatably driving said rotor element.
- 9- The device of claim 8 wherein said latching means comprises a latch member having an elongated aperture formed therethrough, said rotor having an aperture formed therethrough similar to the that of said latch member, said drive means comprising a shaft having a latching member on its remote end which fits through the apertures formed in the rotor and latch member and latches to said rotor and latch members when rotated relative thereto.
- 10- The device of claim 8 wherein the coarse grinding elements are fluted.
- 11- The device of claim 8 wherein the fine grinding elements are serrated.
- 12- The device of claim 8 wherein the stator element has a plurality of protruding bosses formed on the inner surface thereof.
- 13- The device of claim 8 wherein said adjuster means includes a plurality of indented portions formed in the wall of said container, an adjuster control rotatably mounted on said container, said adjuster control having a plurality of tabs formed thereon, said tabs variously entering said indented portions in abutment thereaagainst as said adjuster control is rotated, and a spring for urging said adjuster tabs against said indented portions.
