Claims
- 1. A conditioning shampoo composition comprising:
a) a detersive surfactant b) an aminosilicone having a viscosity of from about 1,000 cs to about 1,000,000 cs, and less than about 0.5% nitrogen by weight of the aminosilicone and; c) an aqueous carrier.
- 2. The composition of claim 1, wherein said aminosilicone is a terminal aminosilicone with a viscosity of from about 50,000 cs to about 1,000,000 cs.
- 3. The composition of claim 1, wherein said aminosilicone is a grafted aminosilicone with a viscosity of from about 1,000 cs to about 50,000 cs.
- 4. The composition of claim 1, wherein said aminosilicone has a viscosity of from about 5,000 cs to about 600,000 cs.
- 5. The composition of claim 1, wherein said aminosilicone has a viscosity of from about 10,000 cs to about 400,000 cs.
- 6. The composition of claim 1, wherein said aminosilicone has a viscosity of from about 50,000 cs to about 100,000 cs.
- 7. The composition of claim 1, wherein the aminosilcone has an average particle size of from about 5 microns to about 50 microns.
- 8. The composition of claim 1, wherein the aminosilicone has an average particle size of less than about 5 microns.
- 9. The composition of claim 8, further comprising a deposition aid.
- 10. The composition of claim 9, wherein the deposition aid is a cationic polymer.
- 11. The composition of claim 1, wherein the aminosilicone has less than about 0.2% nitrogen by weight of the aminosilicone.
- 12. A conditioning shampoo composition comprising:
a) a detersive surfactant; b) an aminosilicone having less than about 0.5% nitrogen by weight of the aminosilicone; c) a non-amino-functionalized silicone having a viscosity of at least about 10,000 cs and d) an aqueous carrier.
- 13. The composition of claim 12, wherein the aminosilicone and non-amino functionalized silicone are in the form of emulsion drops containing a blend of the aminosilicone and non-amino-functionalized silicone.
- 14. The composition of claim 13, wherein the emulsion drops have an average particle size of from about 5 microns to about 50 microns.
- 15. The composition of claim 13, wherein the emulsion drops have an average particle size of less than about 5 microns.
- 16. The composition of claim 15, further comprising a deposition aid.
- 17. The composition of claim 16, wherein the deposition aid is a cationic polymer.
- 18. The composition of claim 12, wherein the aminosilicone has less than about 0.2% nitrogen by weight of the aminosilicone.
- 19. The composition of claim 12, wherein the ratio of the aminosilicone to the non-amino functionalized silicone is from about 1:5 to about 0.1:99.9.
- 20. A method of making a conditioning shampoo composition comprising mixing together:
a) a previously formed blend of aminosilicone and non-amino-functionalized silicone, wherein the aminosilicone has less than about 0.5% nitrogen by weight of the aminosilicone and the non-amino-functionalized silicone has a viscosity of at least about 10,000 cs; b) a detersive surfactant, and c) an aqueous carrier.
