Conference: Travel: III: Student Travel Support for 2024 ACM The Web Conference (TheWebConf)

The award enables about 10 US students to attend the 2024 Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) Web Conference, which will be held in Singapore (https://www2024.thewebconf.org/) from May 13 to 17, 2024. The aim is to support a diverse group of students and make it possible for them to attend the conference and discuss and disseminate their work. The conference also provides an opportunity for them to interact with international researchers.

Since the invention of the World Wide Web in 1989, The Web Conference (formerly known as International World Wide Web Conference, abbreviated as WWW) is a yearly international academic conference on the topic of the future direction of the World Wide Web. This conference has been the premier venue to present and discuss progress in research, development, standards, and applications of the topics related to the Web. The 2024 ACM Web Conference offers a high quality program made of research sessions, posters and demonstrations, a PhD symposium for the junior scholars, workshops, tutorials, an industry track for the practitioners as well as thought provoking keynote speakers, panels, special tracks, and special days. All these activities provide a unique opportunity for students to share their knowledge, experience, and research projects with internationally recognized researchers from both academia and industry.

This award reflects NSF's statutory mission and has been deemed worthy of support through evaluation using the Foundation's intellectual merit and broader impacts review criteria.
