Claims
- 1. An assembly comprising a first structural member having a first face, a second structural member having a second face abutting to said first face, a first borehole extending into said first structural member from said first face, a second borehole extending into said second structural member from said second face, said first and second boreholes having aligned openings at said first and second faces, a connector comprising a tubular member having a first engaging portion formed on at least one end of a hollow part, said tubular member being positioned in said boreholes bridging between said structural members and being smaller in cross section than said boreholes to leave clearances between said boreholes and said tubular member and a hollow branch pipe having a second engaging portion formed on at least one end thereof, said second engaging portion being detachably engaged with said first engaging portion of said tubular member, said tubular member further comprising a wall having a length wherein the majority of said length of said wall is solid and without perforations so that all of a liquid adhesive introduced to said tubular member at a first end will flow to a second end of said tubular member, said clearances being filled with said adhesive which flowed through said tubular member.
- 2. The connector according to claim 1 in which said tubular member is formed on the surface thereof with protruded portions.
- 3. The connector according to claim 1 wherein said tubular member is provided with a projecting portion at said second end of said tubular member.
- 4. A method for connecting structural members comprising a first step of punching a pair of holes forming connecting holes having the same diameter as or slightly larger diameter than that of a connector at predetermined parts of abutting surfaces of a plurality of structural members, a second step of inserting said connector into the connecting holes punched at said first step and abutting each of the structural members to each other whereby a space is formed between the circumferential walls of said connecting holes and an exterior side surface of said connector, said connector further comprising a hollow tubular member having a first end having a first opening with a projection composed of a projection portion or a projecting ridge extending therefrom, said projection located adjacent to said first opening, a second end having a second opening, and said tubular member further comprising a sidewall having a length wherein the majority of said length of said sidewall is solid and without perforations, and a third step of feeding a liquid adhesive agent at said second opening of said hollow tubular member inserted at said second step wherein said hollow tubular member provides for the flow of said liquid adhesive agent so that all of said liquid adhesive agent introduced into said tubular member at said second opening flows to said first opening and then said liquid adhesive agent flows out of said hollow tubular member from said first opening and then filling said liquid adhesive agent in said space.
