Claims
- 1. An electrical connector comprising within a common housing: a plurality of separate devices each including terminal means for attachment of an electrical lead; plural conductive connecting means for engagement electrically with mating conductive means of an electrical component; said separate devices each comprising a body of ferrite material having electrically conductive winding of multiple turns passing around said body, said winding having each of its ends electrically connected respectively to said terminal means and to said connecting means to complete a separate circuit therebetween.
- 2. The electrical connector, as claimed in claim 1, wherein each said tubular body is a hollow cylinder.
- 3. The electrical connector, as claimed in claim 1, wherein said connecting means is an elongate metal member, and wherein said body is disposed with its axis of rotation substantially along the direction of elongation of said metal member.
- 4. The electrical connector, as claimed in claim 1, wherein said connecting means is an elongate metal member, and wherein said tubular body is disposed with its axis of rotation substantially normal to the direction of elongation of said metal member.
- 5. The electrical connector, as claimed in claim 1, in the form of a male two-pin plug, said plug having a base carrying said terminal means and said connecting means and said device, and a cover removably secured on said base.
- 6. The electrical connector, as claimed in claim 1, comprising first and second readily engageable and readily releasable electrical couplings to act respectively between a first end of said winding and said terminal means, and between a second end of said winding and said connecting means.
- 7. The electrical connector, as claimed in claim 6, wherein said readily engageable and readily releasable electrical couplings each comprise a spring-loaded conductive item and an associated wiper forming, with said spring-loaded item, a push-fit electrical connection.
- 8. The electrical connector, as claimed in claim 6, in the form of a male two-pin plug, said plug having a base carrying said terminal means and said connecting means and said device, and a cover removably secured on said base.
- 9. The electrical connector as claimed in claim 6, wherein said device and those portions of said couplings associated with the ends of the winding of the device are mounted on a carrier, said carrier and device and coupling portions forming an assembly which is insertable in and removable from said electrical connector.
- 10. The electrical connector, as claimed in claim 9, in the form of a male two-pin plug, said plug having a base carrying said terminal means and said connecting means and said carrier, and a cover removably secured on said base and serving to retain said carrier to said base.
- 11. An electrical connector comprising: a plurality of separate devices within a common housing; each device including terminal means for attachment of an electrical lead; plural conductive connecting means for engagement electrically with mating conductive means of an electrical component; said separate devices, each comprising a body of ferrite material, having electrically conductive winding of multiple turns passing around said body; said winding having each of its ends electrically connected respectively to said terminal means and to said connecting means to complete a separate circuit therebetween; said electrical connector further comprising first and second readily engageable and readily releasable electrical couplings to act respectively between a first end of said winding and said terminal means, and between a second end of said winding and said connecting means, and wherein, those portions of said couplings associated with the ends of said winding being mounted on a carrier; said carrier, device and coupling forming an assembly insertable into and removable from said electrical connector.
- 12. An electrical connector comprising: a male two pin plug, terminal means for attachment of an electrical lead; conductive connecting means for engagement electrically with mating conductive means of an electrical component; separate devices within said plug, each comprising a body of ferrite material, having an electrically conductive winding of multiple turns passing around said body; each winding having each of its ends electrically connected respectively to said terminal means and to said conductive connecting mean to complete a separate circuit therebetween; said plug having a base carrying terminal means and conductive connecting means secured between said base and a cover.
- 13. An electrical connector for a thermocouple device comprising within a common housing: a two wire lead connector, each wire being of a different metal and electrically attached to terminal means; conductive connecting means for engagement electrically with mating conductive means of an electrical component; a device within said connector, comprising a body of ferrite material having electrically conductive winding of multiple turns passing around said body and wherein said body is mounted on a removable and replaceable carrier; said and replaceable carrier; winding having each of its ends electrically connected respectively to said terminal means and to said conductive connective means to complete a separate circuit for each wire lead.
- 14. The electrical connector according to claim 13 in which said ferrite body is axially transverse to the axis of said connector.
