Claims
- 1. A construction structure comprising:
- a construction panel;
- a first flange having an inner surface facing the construction panel and an outer surface opposite the inner surface, the first flange including at least one perforation extending through the first flange between the inner surface and the outer surface;
- a first depression in the outer surface, wherein the first depression is in communication with the at least one perforation and has a bottom with a width of at least 0.0625 inches; and
- a coating adjacent to the outer surface and extending through the at least one perforation.
- 2. The construction structure of claim 1 wherein the at least one perforation has a maximum dimension and wherein the first depression comprises an elongate channel having a maximum width less than the maximum dimension.
- 3. The construction structure of claim 1 wherein the at least one perforation comprises a plurality of perforations.
- 4. The construction structure of claim 1 wherein the plurality of perforations are vertically and horizontally displaced relative to one another.
- 5. The construction structure of claim 1 wherein the first depression comprises an elongate channel.
- 6. The construction structure of claim 1 wherein the at least one perforation comprises a circular aperture having a diameter of about 0.25 inches.
- 7. The construction structure of claim 1 including a shoulder surface extending forwardly from the outer surface beyond the at least one depression and below the at least one perforation, wherein the coating extends adjacent to the shoulder surface.
- 8. The construction structure of claim 1 including:
- a second flange extending non-parallel from the first flange; and
- a third flange extending non-parallel from the second flange, wherein the first flange, the second flange and the third flange form a channel in which the construction panel is at least partially disposed.
- 9. The construction structure of claim 8 including a support structure, wherein the third flange is coupled to the support structure.
- 10. The construction structure of claim 9 wherein the support structure comprises a framed structure having a base and a plurality of studs extending from the base.
- 11. The construction structure of claim 1 including a second depression in the outer surface.
- 12. The construction structure of claim 1 including a third depression in the inner surface, wherein the third depression communicates with the at least one perforation.
- 13. A construction accessory for use with a construction panel, the accessory comprising:
- a bottom flange;
- a first flange extending above the bottom flange a first distance, the first flange having an inner surface adapted to face the construction panel and an outer surface opposite the inner surface, the first flange including at least one perforation having a first maximum dimension and extending through the flange between the inner surface and the outer surface;
- a second flange extending above the bottom flange a second distance greater than the first distance, wherein the second flange is adapted to be mounted to a support structure; and
- a first depression in the inner surface, wherein the depression is in communication with the at least one perforation and wherein the depression has a second maximum dimension less than the first maximum dimension of the at least one perforation.
- 14. The accessory of claim 13 wherein the at least one perforation includes a plurality of perforations vertically and horizontally displaced relative to one another.
- 15. The accessory of claim 13 wherein the second flange extends non-parallel from the first flange, wherein the third flange extends non-parallel from the second flange, and wherein the first flange, the second flange and the third flange form a channel sized to receive a construction panel.
- 16. The accessory of claim 13 including a shoulder surface extending forwardly from the outer surface beyond the at least one depression and below the at least one perforation.
- 17. A construction accessory for use with a construction panel, the accessory comprising:
- a bottom flange;
- a first flange extending above the bottom flange a first distance, the first flange having an inner surface adapted to face the construction panel and an outer surface opposite the inner surface, the first flange including at least one perforation extending through the flange between the inner surface and the outer surface;
- a second flange extending above the bottom flange a second distance greater than the first distance, wherein the second flange is adapted to be mounted to a support structure;
- at least one depression in the inner surface, wherein the depression is in communication with the at least one perforation; and
- a shoulder surface adjacent to the outer surface and extending forwardly beyond the outer surface and beyond the at least one depression below the at least one perforation.
- 18. The accessory of claim 17 wherein the at least one perforation has a first maximum dimension and wherein the at least one depression has a second maximum dimension less than the first maximum dimension.
- 19. The accessory of claim 17 wherein the at least one perforation has a first maximum dimension and wherein the at least one depression has a bottom with a width of at least 0.0625 inches and a second maximum dimension less than the first maximum dimension.
- 20. The accessory of claim 17 wherein the second flange extends non-parallel from the first flange, wherein the third flange extends non-parallel from the second flange, and wherein the first flange, the second flange and the third flange form a channel sized to receive a construction panel.
