The following includes information that may be useful in understanding the present disclosure. It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art nor material to the presently described or claimed inventions, nor that any publication or document that is specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.
The present invention relates generally to the field of garments of existing art and more specifically relates to suspenders.
Construction workers do not have a safe place to store their phone on them, that will allow easy access, or a way to keep the phone charged when they are actively working. Often, throughout the course of a day the battery of the phone, tablet or other e-device will die and need to be charged. However, a construction worker, such as a roofer, usually doesn't have access to power right at their immediate location. This causes them to have to pause their work, which is detrimental to productivity, and go look for a power source. However, most likely the power source is out of sight which puts their phone at risk of theft and/or damage when they go back to work. A suitable solution is desired.
U.S. Pat. No. 9,264,791 to Ari W. Polivy relates to a portable audio speaker system that attaches to clothing or other structures via magnet. The described portable audio speaker system that attaches to clothing or other structures via magnet includes a portable audio speaker system which includes at least one speaker/housing assembly, each speaker/housing assembly including a speaker disposed inside of a housing, wherein the housing includes at least one of a magnet or a metal plate allowing the speaker/housing assembly to be attached to an item magnetically. The portable audio speaker system may include wired or wireless communication connection to the speaker/housing assembly, such as from a portable music player or other audio source.
In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known suspenders art, the present disclosure provides a novel construction suspender system. The general purpose of the present disclosure, which will be described subsequently in greater detail, is to provide a construction suspender system.
A construction suspender system is disclosed herein. The construction suspender system includes a suspender garment comprising a body having a first-length adjustable front strap, a second-length adjustable front strap, a back panel, a first-rear strap having a first-rear-fastener, a second-rear strap having a second-rear-fastener, and a phone holding pouch. The first-length adjustable front strap includes a first-fastener and a first-headphone pouch. The second-length adjustable front strap includes a second-fastener and a second-headphone pouch. The suspender garment further includes a chest strap. The first-fastener, second-fastener, first-rear-fastener, and second-rear-fastener each comprise a releasable fastener such as a spring-loaded clip. Each spring-loaded clip is positioned at an end-portion of a respective strap of the suspender garment. In a preferred embodiment, the back panel comprises a solar panel power source in communication with a charging cable configured to deliver power to at least one electronic device hosted within the phone holding pouch. The phone holding pouch provides storage for the at least one electronic device.
For purposes of summarizing the invention, certain aspects, advantages, and novel features of the invention have been described herein. It is to be understood that not necessarily all such advantages may be achieved in accordance with any one particular embodiment of the invention. Thus, the invention may be embodied or carried out in a manner that achieves or optimizes one advantage or group of advantages as taught herein without necessarily achieving other advantages as may be taught or suggested herein. The features of the invention which are believed to be novel are particularly pointed out and distinctly claimed in the concluding portion of the specification. These and other features, aspects, and advantages of the present invention will become better understood with reference to the following drawings and detailed description.
The figures which accompany the written portion of this specification illustrate embodiments and methods of use for the present disclosure, a construction suspender system, constructed and operative according to the teachings of the present disclosure.
The various embodiments of the present invention will hereinafter be described in conjunction with the appended drawings, wherein like designations denote like elements.
As discussed above, embodiments of the present disclosure relate to suspenders and more particularly to a construction suspender system as used to improve the usability of personal electronics for occupational fields that lack accessibility to recharging options and improve convenience in use of personal electronics.
Generally, the construction suspender system includes a length-adjustable suspender garment having a flexible solar panel for powering and battery charging of personal electronics such as smartphones, which can be stored by and accessed from the suspender garment. The suspender garment includes an integrated weather-resistant solar panel, in-ear headphones, functional pouches for the headphones, a functional phone-holding pouch, an electronic-device charging cable and Bluetooth® (or similar) technology. The solar panel and charging cable provide continuous renewable energy for charging the electronic device being used with the suspender garment. The solar panel is flexible and weather resistant. As construction workers typically work outside the solar panel will regularly be exposed to sun light. The construction suspender system may feature various devices for attachment to a tool belt or pants, such as but not limited to various clips, buttons, and clamps.
The construction suspender system can be made with or without Bluetooth® capabilities. The in-ear headphones of the construction suspender system can be on retractable cords or loose cords. In variations with loose cords, the construction suspender system may or may not feature storage pouches for said loose cords on its front straps. The construction suspender system may also be made in variations that include no in-ear headphones.
The construction suspender system can be made to accommodate various sized electronic devices, to include but not limited to smartphones and tablets. In variations that accommodate tablets the construction suspender system may include a water-resistant pouch for storage of the tablet and may feature a clear front panel. The construction suspender system may be made in multiple sizes, and can be made of various applicable materials. The construction suspender system can be made in X-back, Y-back, and H-back styles of construction suspenders. The construction suspender system may also be made in variations that include a closed back of various sizes, and to accommodate multiple solar panels on this closed back. In such latter variation, the closed back may be made of various applicable materials.
The construction suspender system may be worn by a user, who may then insert his or her smartphone into the phone holding pouch. Should the user wish to use a music program of the smartphone, he or she can apply the in-ear headphones, and the Bluetooth® function of the device will allow wireless transmission of the music from the smartphone to the headphones. These in-ear headphones can also be used for telephone calls from the smartphone. Despite its regular battery drain from this use, as well as use in sending and viewing messages and documents, the smartphone can be recharged by connection of the charging cable that runs from the solar panel power source and into the phone holding pouch.
Referring now more specifically to the drawings by numerals of reference, there is shown in
The embodiments of the invention described herein are exemplary and numerous modifications, variations and rearrangements can be readily envisioned to achieve substantially equivalent results, all of which are intended to be embraced within the spirit and scope of the invention. Further, the purpose of the foregoing abstract is to enable the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the public generally, and especially the scientist, engineers and practitioners in the art who are not familiar with patent or legal terms or phraseology, to determine quickly from a cursory inspection the nature and essence of the technical disclosure of the application.
