This application claims the benefit of priority from Brazilian patent application Ser. No. 20/202,40010391, filed Jan. 18, 2024, the disclosure of which is incorporated herein by reference.
The present model falls within the field of furniture in general, more specifically school desks. The present model refers to a support to be used so that it is possible to couple a tablet and a chair in an easy and safe manner, with the support being easily couplable to the legs of the chair, allowing a tablet to be coupled to the same.
A piece of furniture can be defined as a set of furniture intended for use and decoration in a home, office, hotel, school or any other establishment. Among the pieces of furniture, we can mention as examples, chairs, beds, tables, cabinets, shelves, among others.
Considering chairs and tables in particular, and with the aim of making a pre-existing and independent piece of furniture, such as a chair, fully functional, so that the user can also enjoy a tablet coupled to this chair, a constructive arrangement applied to an independent support was contemplated which, being fastened to a tablet, could be easily coupled to the legs of a previously existing chair, so as to result in a set of chair with coupled table, with total stability and safety.
Some documents of the state of the art disclose school desk structures that fall within the same field as the present utility model, in which, however, no constructive arrangements similar to those of the present utility model are observed.
Documents MU 8100873-2 and MU 8002570-6, for example, disclose school desks as a single piece in which their technical construction and configuration elements allow two or more pieces to be stored in a disassembled manner and stacked on top of each other, in order to considerably reduce the space occupied during transportation or storage or even inside the classroom.
It is well known that, in the state of the art, there are models of school desks comprising configurations of the shape of tablets and chairs; however, although the state of the art already discloses school desks in a single piece aiming at greater practicality and space reduction, there are no models in the state of the art with a support that, being fastened to the tablet, is capable of easily being coupled to the legs of a previously existing chair so as to result in a set of chair with coupled table with total stability and safety.
The purpose of the present model is to make a pre-existing and independent piece of furniture, such as a chair, fully functional so that its user can also enjoy a tablet coupled to the same. Thus, an independent support was contemplated that, being fastened to the tablet, could be easily coupled to the legs of a previously existing chair, so as to result in a set of chair with coupled table with total stability and safety.
The constructive arrangement of the present model comprises a support fastened to a tablet by a fastening means such as welding, glue, rivets or screws, with the support being coupled to at least two legs of a chair, and the coupling can be made by fastening means such as welding, rivets, glue or screws, or by simply inserting the legs of the chair into the fitting sleeves of the support. Such a coupling can also be reinforced through the use of fastening means applied to the fitting sleeves.
In order to help identify the main features of the model, the figures to which references are made are presented as follows:
The present model aims at making a pre-existing and independent piece of furniture, such as a chair, fully functional so that its user can also enjoy a tablet coupled to the same.
In this way, an independent support (1) was contemplated that, being fastened to a tablet (4), could be easily coupled to the legs (3) of a previously existing chair (5), so as to result in a set of chair with coupled table with total stability and safety.
The constructive arrangement of the present model comprises a support (1) fastened to a tablet (4) by a fastening means such as welding, glue, rivets or screws, with the support (1) being coupled to at least two legs (3) of a chair (5). The coupling of the support (1) to the legs (3) of the chair (5) can be done by simply inserting the legs (3) of the chair (5) into the fitting sleeves (2) of the support (1). Such a coupling can also be reinforced through the use of fastening means applied to the fitting sleeves (2) such as welding, glue, rivets or screws which penetrate the sleeve (2) of the support (1) and the leg (3), joining both.
It is also important to mention that, in addition to providing practicality by having a set of chair and table in a single piece, the constructive arrangement of the present model also has the advantage of allowing a tablet to be coupled to any pre-existing chair, providing the possibility of replacing the support (1), and consequently the tablet or chair with ease.
Another advantage of the present model is that it provides greater strength to the chair (5), since the support (1), when coupled to the legs (3) of the chair (5), also rests on the floor next to the legs (3) of the chair (5).
Obviously, variations in shape, without changing the technical-functional unit, must also be contemplated within the scope of the present utility model. In other words, the support (1) does not necessarily need to have a prismatic tubular shape, and may be cylindrical tubular, for example. The same applies to the shape of the fitting sleeves (2) of the support (1). In addition, the coupling between the support (1) and the legs (3) of the chair (5) can be done without using the sleeves (2), that is, by directly joining the support (1) to the legs (3) of the chair (5) by using fastening methods such as welding, glue, rivets or screws.
The tablet can also take on different shapes such as square, rectangular or circular, for example, in addition to being able to be more extensive, occupying the entire front region of the desk.
In addition, the support (1) may also contemplate configurations for coupling on both sides of the chair, in addition to being able to comprise at least one fitting sleeve (2) for each leg (3) of the chair.
