Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a container, and more particularly to a container that is applied to hold objects inside for storage.

2. Description of Related Art

With reference to FIG. 4, a conventional magnetic locked container comprises a body 90, a cap 91, and multiple magnetic elements 92. The body 90 has a holding space 93 defined in a top surface of the body 90. The cap 91 is pivotally connected with the body 90 by a hinge. The magnetic elements 92 are mounted on the body 90 and the cap 91. When the cap 91 is closed relative to the body 90, the cap 91 is locked with the body 90 by the magnetic attraction of the magnetic elements 92. Accordingly, the objects held in the container will not easily drop out of the body 90 and the cap 91.

However, because the magnetic elements 92 of the conventional container are exposed from the outer surface of the body 90 and the cap 91, the magnetic attraction of the magnetic elements 92 will be lost after a long term of use due to dusts or corrosion. Accordingly, the cap 91 cannot be firmly locked with the body 90.

In addition, the cap 91 is connected with the body 90 by a hinge, so the container can only be opened from a specific direction. Therefore, the conventional container is not versatile and convenient in use.

To overcome the shortcomings, the present invention tends to provide a container to mitigate or obviate the aforementioned problems.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

With reference to FIGS. 1 and 2, a container in accordance with the present invention comprises a box 10 and multiple magnetic units 20.

The box 10 comprises a body 11 and a cap 12. The body 11 has a body chamber 111 defined in a top surface of the body 11 and a lower peripheral wall 112 formed around the body chamber 111. The cap 12 is mounted detachably on the top surface of the body 11 and has a cap chamber 121 defined in a bottom surface of the cap 12 facing the body 11 and an upper peripheral wall 122 formed around the cap chamber 121.

The magnetic units 20 are mounted in the box 10. Each magnetic unit 20 comprises a lower magnetic element 22 embedded in the lower peripheral wall 112 of the body 11 and an upper magnetic element 21 embedded in the upper peripheral wall 122 of the cap 12.

The body 11 further has multiple mounting holes 113 defined in a bottom surface of the lower peripheral wall 112 of the body 11 opposite the cap 12. The cap 12 further has multiple mounting holes 123 defined in a top surface of the upper peripheral wall 122 of the cap 12 opposite the body 11. The lower magnetic elements 22 of the magnetic units 20 are mounted respectively in the mounting holes 113 in the body 11. The upper magnetic elements 21 of the magnetic units 20 are mounted respectively in the mounting holes 123 in the cap 12. In addition, the body 11 further has a body board 114 attached to the bottom surface of the lower peripheral wall 112 to close the mounting holes 113 in the lower peripheral wall 112. The body chamber 111 is defined between the body board 114 and the lower peripheral wall 112. The cap 12 further has a cap board 124 attached to the top surface of the upper peripheral wall 122 to close the mounting holes 123 in the upper peripheral wall 122. The cap chamber 121 is defined between the cap board 124 and the upper peripheral wall 122.

Furthermore, the lower peripheral wall 112 of the body 11 further has at least one finger notch 115 defined in the lower peripheral wall 112. The upper peripheral wall 122 of the cap 12 further has at least one finger notch 125 defined in the upper peripheral wall 122 and aligned respectively with the at least one finer notch 115 in the lower peripheral wall 112. Preferably, the at least one finger notch 115 in the lower peripheral wall 112 communicates respectively with the at least one finger notch 125 in the upper peripheral wall 122.

In a preferred embodiment, the body 11 and the cap 12 of the box 10 are rectangular in shape. The lower peripheral wall 112 of the body 11 has two lower positioning segments 116 formed respectively on opposite sides of the lower peripheral wall 112. The mounting holes 113 in the body 11 are defined in the lower positioning segments 116. The upper peripheral wall 122 of the cap 12 has two upper positioning segments 126 formed respectively on opposite sides of the upper peripheral wall 122. The mounting holes 123 in the cap 12 are defined in the upper positioning segments 126. Accordingly, the magnetic elements 21,22 are kept from being exposed from the body 11 and the cap 12, so the magnetic attraction of the magnetic elements 21, 22 will not be lost due to dusts or corrosion, and the cap 12 can be firmly locked with the body 11 by the magnetic attraction of the magnetic elements 21, 22.

Because the cap 12 is detachably mounted on the body 11, the cap 12 can be opened relative to the body 11 from any desired direction or angle. Thus, the container in accordance with the present invention is versatile and convenient in use. To close the container, the upper peripheral wall 122 of the cap 12 is substantially aligned with the lower peripheral wall 112 of the body 11 and the cap 12 can be automatically closed and located relative to the body 11 by the magnetic attraction of the magnetic elements 21,22. Therefore, the container in accordance with the present invention is convenient in use. In addition, the finger notches 115,125 in the body 11 and the cap 12 can assist a user in conveniently opening the container.

With reference to FIG. 3, the container is locked by the magnetic attraction of the magnetic units 20, so the cap 12 can be opened relative to the body 11 conveniently. Therefore, the container in accordance with the present invention can be applied to hold objects for fishing, and positioning pads 30 are mounted respectively in the chambers 111,121 in the body 11 and the cap 122 to position hooks for fishing. Accordingly, a user can retrieve and use the hooks stored in the container conveniently.

Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in detail, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
