Abstract
A containing box structure includes a containing box and a lid body. The lid body includes top and front lids. A notch is formed on the outward side of a predetermined corner or portion of the edge of a top opening of the containing box. Abutting portions extending from predetermined segments of the inward side of the edge of the top lid straddle at the edge of the top opening of the containing box, such that a hook portion extending downward from a predetermined corner or portion of the top lid gets engaged laterally with the notch of the containing box to effectuate positional restriction between the top lid and the containing box. Therefore, the containing box is covered, and thus is in precise positional engagement, with the top lid and the front lid.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Technical Field

The present invention relates to containing box structures, and more particularly, to a containing box structure including a containing box for containing various objects and characterized in that a lid body coupled to the top of the containing box is engaged with the lower end of a notch concavely disposed at the containing box through a hook portion extending downward from the lid body by a predetermined length, such that a precise positional restriction between the containing box and the lid body is maintained, and the lid body can be easily lifted as needed.

2. Description of Related Art

Conventional containing boxes for use in containing various objects come in a wide variety of shapes. It is quite common that some of the conventional containing boxes are of a predetermined shape and are made of plastics and thus are lightweight and portable. The conventional containing boxes each essentially comprise a containing box of a predetermined capacity and shape and a lid body corresponding in outline to a top opening of the containing box and adapted to cover the top opening to not only allow the containing box to contain objects but also allow the lid body to be lifted so as for objects to be put in the containing box and/or taken out thereof. In an embodiment, the lid body for covering the top opening of the containing box is formed integrally and engaged with the top of the containing box. In another embodiment, a rear lid 101 of a lid body 10 is engaged with a containing box 20, and a front lid 102 of the lid body 10 can be lifted (as shown in FIG. 3). Referring to FIG. 1, lugs 103, which alternate with each other, are formed at the junction of the rear lid 101 and the front lid 102 of the lid body 10, and a rod 104 penetrates the lugs 103 one by one (as shown in FIG. 2), such that the front and rear lids 102, 101 are pivotally connected when put together. When shut, the rear lid 101 is precisely engaged with the edge of the top of the containing box 20, whereas the front lid 102 abuts against the front end of the containing box 20, such that users can open the lid body 10 and take objects out of the containing box 20 or put objects in the containing box 20 easily.

The lid body which covers the opening at the top of the containing box is fastened thereto solely by a press; as a result, the lid body separates from the top of the containing box readily while the containing box is being transported or when subjected to a hit inadvertently.

The present invention aims to overcome the aforesaid drawback of the prior art, that is, the lid body separates from the containing box readily while the containing box is being transported or when subjected to a hit inadvertently, with a view to securing tight and stable engagement between the containing box and the lid body when the lid body is shut and ensuring that the lid body can be easily lifted.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention overcomes a drawback of the prior art, that is, a lid body coupled to the top of a conventional containing box for containing various objects is likely to get disconnected when closed and/or lifted, by putting forth a solution—a hook portion formed by extending a predetermined segment of a top lid of the lid body for covering the top opening of the containing box downward gets engaged with the lower end of a notch concavely disposed at the containing box, so as to maintain a precise positional restriction between the containing box and the lid body and ensure that the lid body can be easily lifted as needed.

It is an objective of the present invention to provide a containing box structure comprising: a containing box adapted to contain objects therein and having a top opening opening upward and a front opening opening forward; and a lid body including a top lid and a front lid for covering the top opening and the front opening of the containing box, respectively, wherein a notch is formed on an outward side of a predetermined corner or portion of an edge of a horizontal segment of the top opening of the containing box, and abutting portions formed by extending an inward side of an edge of the top lid of the lid body by a predetermined segment straddle an upper edge of the containing box, such that a hook portion formed by extending a predetermined corner or portion of the top lid downward gets engaged laterally with the notch at the upper edge of the containing box, so as to effectuate a positional restriction between the top lid and the containing box and maintain a precise positional engagement between the containing box and the top lid and the front lid of the lid body when the containing box is covered with the top lid and the front lid of the lid body.

Another objective of the present invention is to provide a containing box structure, comprising a containing box for containing objects therein and a lid body for covering a top opening of the containing box, the lid body comprising a top lid and a front lid, and characterized in that: an engagement segment of a predetermined width is formed at a front edge of the top lid, a hole is formed at the top lid to penetrate the top lid and positioned on each of the two sides of the engagement segment, an abutting segment formed by extending an upper edge of the front lid is inserted into the engagement segment of the top lid, and a branch portion formed outwardly and protrudingly on each of the two sides of the abutting segment is inserted into the hole of the engagement segment, such that the front lid is quickly pivotally coupled to the engagement segment of the top lid, wherein the front lid is lifted relative to the engagement segment of the top lid to reach an adjacent edge of the top lid and thus effectuate a positional anchorage, thereby rendering it easy to put objects in the containing box and take objects out of the containing box.

Yet another objective of the present invention is to provide a containing box structure characterized in that the abutting portions formed by extending by a predetermined length the inward side of the edge of the top lid of the lid body for covering the top opening of the containing box is of the same height as the outward side of the periphery of the lid body, such that the abutting portions straddle at the upper end of the containing box to maintain a tight contact therewith.

A further objective of the present invention is to provide a containing box structure characterized in that the inward side of the edge of the top lid of the lid body for covering the top opening of the containing box extends by a predetermined length to form an auxiliary rib for reinforcing the lid body when the containing box is covered with the top lid, so as to enhance the tightness and stability of a positional engagement between the lid body and the containing box.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

The present invention provides a containing box structure (as shown in FIG. 4, FIG. 5) for containing objects therein. The containing box structure, which opens upward and forward, comprises a containing box 1 and a lid body 4. The lid body 4 comprises a top lid 2 and a front lid 3 which are pivotally connected. As its name indicates, the front lid 3 is in front of the top lid 2.

The containing box 1 has a top opening opening upward and a front opening opening forward. The top opening is covered with the top lid 2. The front opening is covered with the front lid 3. The containing box 1 has a predetermined shape and capacity and is for use in containing objects therein. A notch 11 (shown in FIG. 4, FIG. 4D) is formed on the outward side of a predetermined corner or portion of the edge of the top opening of the containing box 1.

An engagement segment 21 of a predetermined width is formed at the front edge of the top lid 2 (as shown in FIG. 4). A hole 22 is formed at the top lid 2 to penetrate the top lid 2 and positioned on each of the two sides of the engagement segment 21 (as shown in FIG. 4B). An abutting segment 31 formed by extending the upper edge of the front lid 3 is inserted into the engagement segment 21 of the top lid 2. A branch portion 32 formed outwardly and protrudingly on each of the two sides of the abutting segment 31 is inserted into the hole 22 of the engagement segment 21 (as shown in FIG. 4A, FIG. 8A), such that the front lid 3 is quickly and pivotally coupled to the engagement segment 21 of the top lid 2 (as shown in FIG. 6). An inward side of an edge of the top lid 2 of the lid body 4 extends by a predetermined length to form abutting portions 23 (as shown in FIG. 5, FIG. 5A, FIG. 5B). The abutting portions 23 formed by extending the inward side of the edge of the top lid 2 of the lid body 4 by a predetermined length is of the same height as the outward side of a periphery 24 of the lid body 4 (such that the abutting portions 23 straddle at the upper end of the containing box 1 to maintain a tight contact therewith, and the front lid 3 in this embodiment dispenses with the abutting portions). A predetermined corner or portion of the top lid 2 extends downward to form a hook portion 25 (as shown in FIG. 4, FIG. 4C, FIG. 5B). The inward side of the edge of the top lid 2 of the lid body 4 extends by a predetermined length to form an auxiliary rib 26 (shown in FIG. 5A, FIG. 5B) for reinforcing the lid body 4 when the containing box 1 is covered with the top lid 2, so as to enhance the tightness and stability of a positional engagement between the lid body 4 and the containing box 1.

Referring to FIG. 7 and FIG. 8, the positional engagement between the lid body 4 and the containing box 1 is achieved by following the procedure below: straddling the abutting portions 23 formed by extending the inward side of the edge of the top lid 2 of the lid body 4 by a predetermined length across the upper end of the containing box 1 (as shown in FIG. 10, FIG. 11 and FIG. 10A, FIG. 11A), allowing the hook portion 25 formed by extending a predetermined corner or portion of the top lid 2 downward to get engaged laterally with the notch 11 at the upper end of the containing box 1 (as shown in FIG. 10A), such that not only is a positional restriction between the top lid 2 and the containing box 1 effectuated (as shown in FIG. 9), but the containing box 1 is also in a precise positional engagement with the lid body 4 when covered with the top lid 2 and the front lid 3 of the lid body 4 (as shown in FIG. 6).

The front lid 3 of the lid body 4 coupled to the top of the containing box 1 is lifted (as shown in FIG. 12) relative to the engagement segment 21 of the top lid 2 to reach an adjacent edge of the top lid 2 and thus effectuate a positional anchorage (as shown in FIG. 12A), thereby rendering it easy to put objects in the containing box 1 and take objects out of the containing box 1.
