Claims
- 1. A continuously variable transmission means for controlling a speed of an engine installed in a vehicle, comprising:
- a driving pulley including a fixed member and a movable member, said movable member being actuated by an hydraulic cylinder to form a V-shaped opening between the fixed and movable member;
- a driven pulley with another fixed member and another movable member, said another movable member being actuated by another hydraulic cylinder to form another V-shaped opening between said another fixed member and said another movable member;
- a flexible endless belt member spanning the pulleys such that the diameter of the pulleys can be varied relative to each other to result in different transmitting ratios;
- a first detecting means for detecting vibrations of a vehicle body in accordance with an operating condition of the engine, the first detecting means outputting a first output signal, said first output signal corresponding to a first detected value;
- a storing means for storing a basic value;
- a comparison means for comparing the detected vibration with the stored basic value, the comparison means receiving said first output signal from the first detecting means and outputting a second output signal in accordance with a result of said comparing, the second output signal corresponding to a first compensation value;
- a second detecting means for detecting an amount of displacement of an acceleration pedal, the second detecting means outputting a third output signal;
- a first determining means for determining a revolution speed in accordance with said third output signal, the first determining means outputting a fourth output signal;
- a calculating means for calculating a desired revolution speed, the calculating means receiving the fourth output signal from the first determining means and the second output signal from the comparision means, the calculating means outputting a fifth output signal, the fifth output signal corresponding to a calculated desired revolution speed; and
- a control means for controlling the engine speed in accordance with said calculated desired revolution speed outputted from the calculating means and thereafter changing the transmitting ratio between the driving and driven pulleys.
- 2. The continuously variable transmission means of claim 1, wherein the engine speed increases when said first detected value outputted from the first detecting means is greater than said basic value.
- 3. The continuously variable transmission means of claim 1, wherein the engine speed decreases when said first detected value outputted from the first detecting means is less than said basic value.
- 4. The continuously variable transmission means of claim 1, wherein said basic value is predetermined based upon a function of engine speed
- 5. The continuously variable transmission means of claim 1, further comprising a second determining means for determining the basic value in accordance with an actual input revolution speed of the continuously variable transmission means.
- 6. A continuously variable transmission means for controlling a speed of an engine installed in a vehicle, comprising:
- a driving pulley including a fixed member and a movable member, said movable member being actuated by an hydraulic cylinder to form a V-shaped opening between the fixed and movable member;
- a driven pulley with another fixed member and another movable member, said another movable member being actuated by another hydraulic cylinder to form another V-shaped opening between said another fixed member and said another movable member;
- a flexible endless belt member spanning the pulleys such that the diameter of the pulleys can be varied relative to each other to result in different transmitting ratios;
- a first detecting means for detecting a noise in a passenger compartment of the vehicle in accordance with an operating condition of the engine, the first detecting means outputting a first output signal, the first output signal corresponding to a first detected value;
- a storing means for storing a basic value;
- a comparison means for comparing the detected noise with the stored basic value, the comparison means receiving said first output signal from the first detecting means and outputting one of a second output signal and a third output signal in accordance with a result of said comparing between the detected noise and the stored basic value, the second output signal being outputted from the comparison means when the first detected value of the first output signal is greater than or equal to said basic value, the second output signal corresponding to a first compensation value, the third output signal being outputted from the comparison means when the first detected value of the first output signal is less than said basic value, the third output signal corresponding to a second compensation value, said first compensation value being greater than said second compensation value and said first and second compensation values being greater than zero;
- a second detecting means for detecting an amount of displacement of an acceleration pedal, the second detecting means outputting a third output signal;
- a first determining means for determining a revolution speed in accordance with said fourth output signal, the first determining means outputting a fifth output signal;
- a calculating means for calculating a desired revolution speed, the calculating means receiving the fifth output signal from the first determining means and one of the second and third output signals, the calculating means outputting a seventh output signal, the seventh output signal corresponding to a calculated desired revolution speed; and
- a control means for controlling the engine speed in response to said comparison means comparing the detected noise with the stored basic value in accordance with said calculated desired revolution speed outputted from the calculating means and thereafter changing the transmitting ratio between the driving and driven pulleys.
- 7. The continuously variable transmission means of claim 6, wherein the engine speed increases when said first detected value outputted from said first detecting means is greater than said basic value.
- 8. The continuously variable transmission means of claim 6, wherein the engine speed decreases when said first detected value outputted from the first detecting means is less than said basic value.
- 9. The continuously variable transmission means of claim 6, wherein said basic value is predetermined based upon a function of engine speed.
- 10. The continuously variable transmission means of claim 6, further comprising a second determining means for determining the basic value in accordance with an actual input revolution speed of the continuously variable transmission means.
- 11. A continuously variable transmission means for controlling a speed of an engine installed in a vehicle, comprising:
- a driving pulley including a fixed member and a movable member, said movable member being actuated by an hydraulic cylinder to form a V-shaped opening between the fixed and movable member;
- a driven pulley with another fixed member and another movable member, said another movable member being actuated by another hydraulic cylinder to form another V-shaped opening between said another fixed member and said another movable member;
- a flexible endless belt member spanning the pulleys such that the diameter of the pulleys can be varied relative to each other to result in different transmitting ratios;
- a first detecting means for detecting vibrations of a driving part in accordance with an operating condition of the engine, the first output detecting means outputting a first output signal, said first output signal corresponding to a first detected value;
- a storing means for storing a basic value;
- a comparison means for comparing the detected vibration with the stored basic value, the comparison means receiving said first output signal from the first detecting means and outputting one of second output signal and a third output signal in accordance with a result of said comparing between the detected vibration and the stored basic value, the second output signal being outputted from the comparison means when the first detected value of the first output signal is greater than or equal to said basic value, the second output signal corresponding to a first compensation value, the third output signal being outputted from the comparison means when the first detected value of the first output signal is less than said basic value, the third output signal corresponding to a second compensation value, said first compensation value being greater than said second compensation value and said first and second compensation values being greater than zero;
- a second detecting means for detecting an amount of displacement of an acceleration pedal, the second detecting means outputting a fourth output signal;
- a first determining means for determining a revolution speed in accordance with said fourth output signal, the first determining means outputting a fifth output signal;
- a calculating means for calculating a desired revolution speed, the calculating means receiving the fifth output signal from the first determining means and one of the second and third output signals, the calculating means outputting a sixth output signal, the sixth output signal corresponding to a calculated desired revolution speed; and
- a control means for controlling the engine speed in accordance with said calculated desired revolution speed outputted from the calculating means and thereafter changing the transmitting ratio between the driving and driven pulleys.
- 12. The continuously variable transmission means of claim 11, wherein the engine speed increases when said first detected value outputted from the first detecting means is greater than said basic value.
- 13. The continuously variable transmission means of claim 11, wherein the engine speed decreases when said first detected value outputted from the first detecting means is less than said basic value.
- 14. The continuously variable transmission means of claim 11, wherein said basic value is predetermined based upon a function of engine speed.
- 15. The continuously variable transmission means of claim 11, further comprising a second determining means for determining the basic value in accordance with an actual input revolution speed of the continuously variable transmission means.
