Claims
- 1. In a fixture rail mount block adapted for adjustable mounting on a fixture rail so as to selectively receivably maintain a contour and outline transducer gage in its proper operative use position on the fixture rail comprising:
- a rail mount block adapted for adjustable mounting on a fixture rail;
- a forward enlarged cap screw receiving hole provided vertically through said mount block, said forward cap screw receiving hole being counterbored so as to selectively engage the head of a cap screw positioned therethrough;
- a rear enlarged cap screw receiving hole provided vertically through said mount block, said rear cap screw receiving hole being counterbored so as to selectively engage the head of a cap screw positioned therethrough, said rear enlarged cap screw receiving hole being parallel to and longitudinally spaced-apart from said forward cap screw receiving hole;
- a pair of elongate cap screws provided for selective free insertion through said corresponding forward and rear cap screw receiving holes in said rail mount block into selective threaded engagement with corresponding cap screw engaging holes provided in the fixture rail upon which the rail mount block is mounted, said cap screw receiving holes being of a larger diameter than the diameter of the cap screws freely positioned therethrough so as to permit selective adjustable sliding movement of the rail mount block upon the fixture rail so as to provide yaw and forward and rear adjustment capability thereto, said cap screws adapted to selectively engage said rail mount block so as to fixedly retain said rail mount block in its finally adjusted position upon the fixture rail;
- a pair of transversely oriented spaced-apart down pin receiving holes vertically provided through said rail mount block, said dowel pin receiving holes adapted to press-fit receive dowel pins therethrough which are adapted to make simultaneous press-fit engagement with corresponding dowel pin receiving holes selectively provided on the fixture rail so as to lock said rail mount block into its finally adjusted position on the fixture rail; and
- a gage locator peg receiving hole provided in the upper surface of said rail mount block, said gage locator peg receiving hole adapted to operatively receive a simulated gage locator peg of a ball gage check assembly therein so as to maintain the ball gage check assembly in its operative use check position on said rail mount block while said rail mount block is being adjusted to its final operative use position on the fixture rail, said gage locator peg receiving hole adapted to selectively receive transducer gage contour and outline locator pegs during operational use.
- 2. In the fixture rail mount block of claim 1, the said rail mount block provided with spaced apart fixture rail contact members extending downwardly therefrom.
- 3. In the fixture rail mount block of claim 1, the said rail mount block provided with beveled contact surfaces extending along the longitudinal upper edges thereof, said beveled contact surfaces adapted to facilitate engagement with an alignment spring claim assembly.
- 4. In a fixture rail mount block adapted for universally adjustable mounting on a fixture rail so as to selectively receivably maintain a contour and outline transducer gage in its proper operative use position on the fixture rail comprising:
- a rail mount block adapted for adjustable mounting on a fixture rail, said rail mount block provided with spaced-apart fixture rail contact members extending downwardly from said rail mount block;
- a forward enlarged cap screw receiving hole provided vertically through said mount block;
- a rear enlarged cap screw receiving hole provided vertically through said mount block, said rear enlarged cap screw receiving hole being parallel to and longitudinally spaced-apart from said forward cap screw receiving hole;
- a forward vertically oriented jack post bolt receiving hole provided in the bottom surface of said rail mount block in longitudinally aligned open communication with said forward cap screw receiving hole;
- a rear vertically oriented jack post bolt receiving hole provided in the bottom surface of said rail mount block in longitudinally aligned open communication with said rear cap screw receiving hole;
- a pair of elongate cap screws provided for selective free insertion through said corresponding forward and rear cap screw receiving holes provided through said rail mount block into selective threaded engagement with corresponding vertically adjustable spaced-apart jack post bolts provided in a fixture rail, said cap screw receiving holes and said jack post bolt receiving holes being of a larger diameter than the diameter of the cap screws and the jack post bolts positioned respectively therethrough so as to permit selectively adjustable movement of the said rail mount block in relation thereto, said elongate cap screws adapted to cooperate with said jack post bolts to impart a pitch adjustment capability to said rail mount block, said cap screws adapted to adjustably lock said rail mount block in its operative use position on the fixture rail;
- a pair of transversely oriented roll-adjusting set screw receiving threaded holes vertically provided through said rail mount block, said set screw receiving threaded holes threadably provided with roll-adjusting set screws therein which are adapted to selectively adjustably engage the fixture rail so as to provide a roll-adjustment capability to said rail mount block in relation to the fixture rail upon which it is mounted.
- a pair of transversely oriented roll lock pin receiving holes vertically provided through said rail mount block, said roll lock pin receiving holes adapted to selectively receive a plastic setting glue therethrough into the interior of said rail mount block so as to selectively lockably fix said rail mount block into its finally adjusted position on the fixture rail, said roll lock pin receiving holes adapted to lockably receive roll lock pins therein so as to lock said rail mount block into its finally adjusted glued position on the fixture rail; and
- a gage locator peg receiving hole provided in the upper surface of said rail mount block, said gage locator peg receiving hole adapted to operatively receive a simulated gage locator peg of a ball gage check assembly therein so as to maintain the ball gage check assembly in its operative use check position on said rail mount block while said rail mount block is being adjusted to its final operative use position on the fixture rail.
