Claims
- 1. Fluid control apparatus comprising:
- a first source of pressurized fluid;
- a second source of pressurized fluid;
- a plurality of fluid pressure responsive means;
- first and second flow passage means in parallel flow relationship communicating said first source of pressurized fluid with each of said fluid pressure responsive means;
- first control valve means operatively connected to said first and second flow passage means and having a first position wherein said first passage means is blocked and a second position wherein said second passage means is blocked;
- a plurality of second control valve means operatively connected to said first and second flow passage means in series flow relationship and provided with port means for venting one of said first and second flow passage means to said second source of pressurized fluid depending upon the relative positions of said plurality of second valve means; and
- means responsive to a control input signal operatively connected to each of said first and second valve means for actuating the same from a first position to a second position.
- 2. Fluid control apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein:
- said second source of pressurized fluid is at a lower pressure relative to said first source.
- 3. Fluid control apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein:
- said first valve means is an axially movable, fluid pressure reponsive valve member provided with a plurality of axially spaced apart fluid conducting ports each of which ports is adapted to register with one of said first and second flow passages associated therewith depending upon the axial position of said first valve means; and
- said means responsive to said control input signal is a fluid pressure generating means operatively connected to said first valve means for actuating the same.
- 4. Fluid control apparatus as claimed in claim 3, wherein:
- said second valve means includes at least one axially movable, fluid pressure responsive valve member provided with an axis passage vented to said second source of fluid pressure;
- a plurality of second axially spaced apart flow conducting ports formed in said second valve means each of which second ports is adapted to register with an associated one of said first flow passages;
- a plurality of third axially spaced apart flow conducting ports formed in said second valve means each of which third ports is adapted to register with an associated one of said second flow passages.
- 5. Fluid control apparatus as claimed in claim 3, wherein:
- said second valve means includes second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth axially movable, fluid pressure responsive valve members responsive to separate control fluid pressures and movable independently of each other.
- 6. Fluid flow control apparatus as claimed in claim 4, wherein:
- said axially movable valve member is provided with a plurality of radially extending passages arranged in axially spaced relationship to said second flow conducting ports and communicating with said axial passage;
- each of said radially extending passages being adapted to register with an associated one of said first passages depending upon the position of said valve member.
- 7. Fluid flow control apparatus as claimed in claim 4, wherein:
- said axially movable valve member is provided with first and second pluralities of radially extending passages arranged in axially spaced apart relationship to said second and third flow conducting ports, respectively, and communicating with said axial passage;
- each of said first plurality of radially extending passages being adapted to register with an associated one of said first passages;
- each of said second plurality of radially extending passages being adapted to register with an associated one of said second passages.
- 8. Fluid flow control apparatus as claimed in claim 5, wherein:
- said second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth valve members are each circular and provided with an axial passage vented to said second source of pressurized fluid; and
- a plurality of axially spaced apart radially extending passages in each of said second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth valve members communicating with said axial passage and adapted to register with at least one of said first and second flow passages depending upon the position of said valve member associated therewith.
