Claims
- 1. A camera comprising:
- a device which outputs a main flash command;
- a device responsive to a manual operation member operated by a photographer, which outputs a pre-flash command;
- a flash device which emits illumination light using charges in a charge device; and
- a judging device which automatically judges whether a photographing condition in which a pre-flash command should be outputted is established;
- wherein an operation of said flash device for a pre-flash is permitted based on only the pre-flash command, despite a judgement result of said judging device.
- 2. A camera according to claim 1, wherein said flash device is releasable from said camera.
- 3. A camera according to claim 1, wherein the pre-flash reduces a red-eye effect.
- 4. A camera according to claim 3, wherein said judging device judges whether a pupil size of an eye of an object is enlarged so that the red-eye effect may be caused.
- 5. A camera according to claim 1, further comprising an informing device which in forms a judgement result of said judging device, to a photographer.
- 6. A camera according to claim 5, wherein said informing device includes an indicator externally visible.
- 7. A camera comprising:
- an illuminating device for reducing a red-eye effect;
- a judging device which judges a necessity of an operation of said illuminating device; and
- a permitting device which permits the operation of said illuminating device,
- wherein said judging device operates despite a condition of said permitting device.
- 8. A camera comprising:
- an illuminating device which reduces a red-eye effect;
- a judging device which judges a necessity of an operation of said illuminating device; and
- a permitting device which permits the operation of said illuminating device,
- wherein the operation of said illuminating device is inhibited despite a condition of said judging device, when said permitting device does not permit.
- 9. An electronic flash apparatus comprising:
- a device which outputs a main flash command;
- a device responsive to a manual operation member operated by a photographer, which outputs a pre-flash command;
- a flash device which emits illumination light using charges in a charge device; and
- a judging device which automatically judges whether a photographing condition in which a pre-flash command should be outputted is established;
- wherein the operation of said flash device for a pre-lash is permitted based on only the pre-flash command, despite a judgement result of said judging device.
- 10. An electronic flash apparatus according to claim 9, wherein the pre-flash reduces a red-eye effect.
- 11. An electronic flash apparatus according to claim 10, wherein said judging device judges whether a pupil size of an eye of an object is enlarged so that the red-eye effect may be caused.
- 12. An electronic flash apparatus according to claim 9, further comprising an informing device which informs a judgement result of said judging device, to a photographer.
- 13. An electronic flash apparatus according to claim 12, wherein said informing device includes an indicator externally visible.
- 14. An electronic flash apparatus including an illuminating device which reduces a red-eye effect, comprising:
- an output circuit which outputs a red-eye effect reducing signal which starts the operation of said illuminating device;
- a judging device which judges a necessity of the operation of said illuminating device; and
- a permitting device which permits the signal outputting of said output circuit,
- wherein said judging device operates despite a condition of said permitting device.
- 15. An electronic flash apparatus including an illuminating device which reduces a red-eye effect, comprising:
- an output circuit which outputs a red-eye effect reducing signal which starts the operation of said illuminating device;
- a judging device which judges a necessity of an operation of said illuminating device; and
- a permitting device which permits the signal outputting of said output circuit,
- wherein said output circuit inhibits outputting the signal despite a judgement result of said judging device, when said permitting device does not permit.
- 16. A method of controlling a camera comprising the steps of:
- outputting a main flash command;
- outputting a pre-flash command in response to a manual operation by a photographer;
- emitting illumination light using charges; and
- automatically judging whether a photographing condition in which a pre-flash command should be outputted is established;
- wherein pre-flash is permitted based on the pre-flash command, despite a result of the judging.
- 17. A method of reducing a red-eye effect comprising the steps of:
- judging a necessity of an illumination for reducing the red-eye effect; and
- permitting an illumination for reducing the red-eye effect;
- wherein said judging is established despite establishment of the permitting.
- 18. A method of reducing a red-eye effect comprising the steps of:
- judging a necessity of an illumination for reducing the red-eye effect; and
- permitting an illumination for reducing the red-eye effect;
- wherein the illumination for reducing the red-eye effect is inhibited when the permitting is not established, despite a result of the judging.
- 19. A method of controlling an electronic device comprising the steps of:
- outputting a main flash command;
- outputting a pre-flash command in response to a manual operation by a photographer;
- emitting illumination light using charges; and
- automatically judging whether a photographing condition in which a pre-flash command should be outputted is established;
- wherein pre-flash is permitted based on the pre-flash command, despite a result of the judging.
- 20. A method of reducing a red-eye effect comprising the steps of:
- outputting a red-eye effect reducing signal which starts an illumination for reducing a red-eye effect;
- judging a necessity of the illumination for reducing the red-eye effect; and
- permitting the output of the red-eye effect reducing signal;
- wherein said judging is established despite establishment of the permitting.
