Claims
- 1. A camera comprising:
- a flash device;
- a pre-illumination device which pre-illuminates prior to a main emission of said flash device;
- a judging device, electrically connected to said pre-illumination device, which judges whether an operation of said pre-illumination device should be made or not;
- an indicator, electrically connected to said judging device, which indicates information relating to an operation of said pre-illumination device, independently of an indication of completion of charging of a charge storage device; and
- an indicator control circuit, electrically connected to said indicator, which controls an operation thereof, said indicator control circuit inhibiting an operation of said indicator when said judging device judges that an operation of said pre-illumination device should not be made.
- 2. A camera according to claim 1, wherein said pre-illumination device reduces a red-eye effect by emitting light to an eye of an object which reduces a pupil aperture thereof.
- 3. A camera according to claim 1, wherein said judging device automatically judges whether an operation of said pre-illumination device should be made or not, based on at least one of information relating to distance to an object and information relating to luminance of the object.
- 4. A camera according to claim 1, wherein said indicator includes a light emitting diode arranged to be seen in a finder.
- 5. A camera comprising:
- a flash device;
- a pre-illumination device which pre-illuminates prior to a main emission of said flash device;
- a judging device, electrically connected to said pre-illumination device, which judges whether an operation of said pre-illumination device should be made or not;
- an indicator, electrically connected to said judging device, which performs an indication of information relating to an operation of said pre-illumination device, in a predetermined form, independently of an indication of completion of charging of a charge storage device; and
- an indicator control circuit, electrically connected to said indicator, which controls an operation thereof, said indicator control circuit changing the predetermined form when said judging device judges that an operation of said pre-illumination device should not be made.
- 6. A camera according to claim 5, wherein said pre-illumination device reduces a red-eye effect by emitting light to an eye of an object which reduces a pupil aperture thereof.
- 7. A camera according to claim 5, wherein said judging device automatically judges whether an operation of said pre-illumination device should be made or not, based on at least one of information relating to a distance to the object and information relating to luminance of the object.
- 8. A camera according to claim 5, wherein said indicator includes a light emitting diode arranged to be seen in a finder.
- 9. A method of controlling a camera comprising the steps of:
- judging whether a pre-illumination prior to a main emission of a flash device should be made;
- indicating information relating to the pre-illumination, independently of an indication of completion of charging of a charge storage device; and
- controlling the information indicating when it is judged that the pre-illumination should be made.
- 10. A method of controlling a camera comprising the steps of:
- judging whether a pre-illumination prior to a main emission of a flash device should be made;
- indicating information relating to the pre-illumination in a predetermined form, independently of an indication of completion of charging of a charge storage device; and
- controlling to change the predetermined form when it is judged that the pre-illumination should be made.
- 11. A method of controlling a camera comprising the steps of:
- judging whether a pre-illumination prior to a main flash emission should be made;
- indicating information relating to the pre-illumination, independently of an indication of completion of charging of a charge storage device; and
- inhibiting said indicating of information when it is judged that said pre-illumination should not be made.
- 12. A method of controlling a camera comprising the steps of:
- judging whether a pre-illumination prior to a main flash emission should be made;
- indicating, in a predetermined form, information relating to the pre-illumination, independently of an indication of completion of charging of a charge storage device; and
- changing said predetermined form when it is judged that said pre-illumination should not be made.
