Claims
- 1. A camera comprising:
- a flash device which emits illumination light to illuminate an object;
- a pre-illumination device which emits pre-illumination light to the object plural times, prior to a main emission of said flash device;
- an image recording device which operates to effect recording of an image of the object;
- a first counter;
- a second counter; and
- a control device, electrically connected to said pre-illumination device and said image recording device, which controls an interval of the plural emissions from said pre-illumination device by said first counter, and which controls operation of said image recording device by said second counter.
- 2. A camera according to claim 1, wherein said control device controls a time from when a last one of the plural emissions is completed to when operation of said image recording device is started, by said second counter.
- 3. A camera according to claim 2, wherein said image recording device includes a stop, a mirror and a shutter, and wherein said stop is operated first after the last pre-illumination of said plural times of pre-illumination, and then the mirror is raised and said shutter is driven.
- 4. A camera according to claim 1, wherein a predetermined time counted by said first counter is longer than a predetermined time counted by said second counter.
- 5. A camera according to claim 1, wherein said image recording device includes at least one of a stop, a mirror and a shutter.
- 6. A method of controlling a camera having a flash device which emits illumination light to illuminate an object, a pre-illumination device which emits pre-illumination light to the object plural times, prior to emission of illumination light by said flash device, and an image recording device which operates to effect recording of an image of the object, wherein an interval of the plural emissions from said pre-illumination device is controlled in accordance with a first period and said operation of said image recording device is controlled in accordance with a second period.
- 7. A method according to claim 6, wherein said second period determines the time between completion of a last one of said plural emissions and starting of said operation of said image recording device.
- 8. A method according to claim 6, wherein said first period is longer than said second period.
- 9. A camera comprising:
- a flash device which emits illumination light to illuminate an object;
- a pre-illumination device which emits pre-illumination light to the object plural times, prior to a main emission of said flash device, in order to reduce red-eye effect;
- an image recording device which operates to effect recording of an image of the object;
- a first counter;
- a second counter; and
- a control device, electrically connected to said pre-illumination device and said image recording device, which controls an interval of the plural emissions from said pre-illumination device by said first counter, and which controls operation of said image recording device by said second counter.
