Claims
- 1. An adjustable fluid metering valve for a pressurized water closet comprising:
a housing having an orifice; a spool rotatably and slidably contained within said housing, said spool having a first end and a second end, said second end of said spool being threaded; a valve stem slidably contained within said housing, said valve stem having a first threaded end threadingly engaging said spool and a second end having a needle valve pin aligned with said orifice; said valve stem limited in rotation within said housing.
- 2. The valve of claim 1 wherein said housing has at least one groove receiving a longitudinal spline on said valve stem.
- 3. The valve of claim 1 wherein said first end of said spool has a knob at least partially external of said housing.
- 4. The valve of claim 1 wherein said rotation of said spool adjusts the effective area of said inlet defined by said pin and said orifice.
- 5. The valve of claim 1 wherein said pin is reciprocal within said orifice to selectively adjust the area of an inlet formed thereby.
- 6. The valve of claim 1 wherein said pin is tapered.
- 7. An adjustable fluid metering valve for a pressurized water closet comprising:
a housing having an orifice; a spool rotatably and sidably contained with said housing, said spool having a first end and a second end, said second end of said spool being threaded; a valve stem slidably contained within said housing, said valve stem having a first threaded end threadingly engaging said spool and a second end having a needle valve pin aligned with said orifice; said valve stem secured within said housing to prevent relative rotation between said valve stem and said housing.
- 8. An adjustable fluid metering valve comprising:
a housing having a grooved passage therein terminating in an orifice; a spool rotatably and slidably contained within said housing, said spool having a first end and a second end, said second end of said spool being threaded; a splined valve stem slidably contained within said housing passage, said valve stem having a first threaded end threadingly engaging said spool and a second end having a needle valve pin aligned with said orifice; said valve stem limited in rotation within said housing.
- 9. An improved control valve for a pressurized water closet comprising:
a housing having an orifice; a spool rotatable within the housing, a valve stem threadingly engaging said spool and fixed from rotating relative to the housing; a valve pin extending axially from said valve stem and into said housing orifice, said valve being adjustable; and rotation of said spool driving said valve pin axial with respect to said orifice.
