The present invention relates generally to the field of coverall garment devices. More specifically, the present invention relates to a coverall garment that can be adjusted to accommodate shorts, pants, short sleeves, or long sleeves. Accordingly, the present disclosure makes specific reference thereto. Nonetheless, it is to be appreciated that aspects of the present invention are also equally applicable to other like applications, devices, and methods of manufacture.
By way of background, this invention relates to improvements in coverall garment devices. Generally, individuals that work or travel in volatile environments with temperature changes throughout the day are often required to change outfits to accommodate the temperature variances. For example, a person could wear a long sleeve coverall garment because it is cold in the morning, but in the afternoon they can become overheated when the temperature rises throughout the day. A similar problem arises if the temperature then decreases in the evening. Constantly changing clothes throughout the day can be very frustrating, and traditional jumpsuits or coverall garments can make it cumbersome to use the restroom.
Accordingly, there is a demand for an improved all-in-one coverall device that can be adjusted according to variances in temperature or user preferences. More particularly, there is a demand for an all-in-one coverall device that features removably attachable pieces.
Therefore, there exists a long felt need in the art for an all-in-one coverall or overall device that provides users with coveralls that can be adjusted to accommodate shorts, pants, short sleeves, or long sleeves. There is also a long felt need in the art for an all-in-one coverall or overall device that features multiple zippers that can attach or detach different areas of the garment to create the weather appropriate outfit. Further, there is a long felt need in the art for an all-in-one coverall device that includes an elastic drawstring waistband to adjust the pants or shorts to a comfortable size. Finally, there is a long felt need in the art for an all-in-one coverall device that enables users to customize the look, feel, and weather responsiveness of their coveralls throughout the day with case and convenience.
The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises an all-in-one coverall device. The device is a coverall or overall garment that features multiple zippers that can attach or detach different areas of the garment to create the perfect outfit. The all-in-one coverall device comprises an upper body component, long sleeve components, a lower body component, and long pant components. The upper body component covers the torso and upper arms of the user and is generally styled in the fashion of a traditional cargo shirt, featuring multiple pockets, a collar, and a vertical zipper in the form the neck to groin area. The upper body component also features an alternative horizontal zipper that enables for removable attachment of the lower body component, and horizontal zippers at each elbow. The lower body component covers the thigh area of the users down to the knee and is generally styled in the fashion of traditional cargo shorts, featuring multiple pockets and a vertical zipper in the front over the groin area. The lower body component also comprises a drawstring elastic waist that enables a user to adjust the fit of the garment around their waist. Further, the lower body component features the corresponding half of the horizontal zipper of the upper body component, as well as horizontal zippers at each knee. The long sleeve and long pant components feature horizontal zippers that correspond with the upper body component and lower body component at the elbows and knees, respectively. All zippers throughout the garment are covered by fabric flaps to conceal each zipper until it is in use. Accordingly, the device enables users to customize the look and feel of their coveralls throughout the day with ease.
In this manner, the all-in-one coverall or overall device of the present invention accomplishes all of the forgoing objectives and provides users with a device that enables for easy outfit modification throughout the day to suit the desires of the user. The device is a garment worn by a user. The device has an elastic drawstring waist.
The following presents a simplified summary in order to provide a basic understanding of some aspects of the disclosed innovation. This summary is not an extensive overview, and it is not intended to identify key/critical elements or to delineate the scope thereof. Its sole purpose is to present some general concepts in a simplified form as a prelude to the more detailed description that is presented later.
The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises an all-in-one coverall device. The device is a modifiable coverall or overall garment featuring multiple removably attachable components connected by zippers. The device also features an adjustable elastic drawstring waistband. Thus, via attaching or detaching the different components of the device with the various zippers and/or adjusting the waistband, a user can quickly and easily configure the device to fit their needs and/or to fit the weather/temperature conditions.
In one embodiment, the all-in-one coverall device of the present invention assists any user who works in various weather conditions. The adjustable clastic drawstring waistband or belt device is easily and conveniently modifiable to accommodate for various temperatures throughout the day. The all-in-one coverall device provides multiple components that can be removably attached as needed. The all-in-one coverall device also includes an adjustable elastic drawstring waistband to provide further comfort and functionality to users.
In one embodiment, the all-in-one coverall device comprises an upper body component. The upper body component is typically configured as a traditional cargo shirt but can be configured in any suitable style as is known in the art. Typically, the upper body component comprises a vertical torso zipper, a horizontal waist zipper, elbow zippers, a collar, and multiple pockets. The upper body component can be attached to a lower body component via the horizontal waist zipper.
In one embodiment, the all-in-one coverall device comprises long sleeve components that are removably attachable to the upper body component via the elbow zippers.
In one embodiment, the all-in-one coverall device comprises a lower body component. The lower body component is typically configured as a pair of traditional cargo shorts, although any suitable style as is known in the art can be used. Typically, the lower body component comprises a vertical groin zipper, knee zippers, an elastic drawstring waistband, and multiple pockets. The clastic drawstring waistband is embedded within the waist area of the lower body component.
In one embodiment, the all-in-one coverall device comprises long pant components that can be removably attached to the lower body component via the knee zippers.
In another embodiment, all zippers found on the all-in-one coverall device are covered with fabric flaps to conceal them in an aesthetically pleasing fashion unless the zippers are in use.
In one embodiment, the all-in-one coverall device comprises a variety of zippers to connect the various components, although any suitable fastening means as is known in the art may be used. Examples of suitable fasteners include but are not limited to snaps or hook and loop type fasteners.
In one embodiment, the all-in-one coverall device in accordance with the present invention can be produced in various colors, designs, patterns, etc., and feature logos, emblems and or designs, such as a workplace requests and/or a user desires.
In one embodiment, the all-in-one coverall device is manufactured of a high-density polyethylene (HDPE), or any other suitable materials as is known in the art. Any number of different types of materials can be used to make the all-in-one coverall device including but not limited to plastics, nylon, textile materials, etc.
In use, the user dons the fully assembled all-in-one coverall or overall device. The adjustable elastic drawstring waistband can then be adjusted to provide a comfortable and secure fit. A user then can remove the removably attachable long sleeve and long pant components as desired via multiple zippers connecting various areas of the garment. The user can then utilize the device while working, traveling, or any other activity that warrants a convertible garment depending on varying temperatures or user comfort. Thus, the all-in-one coverall device makes wearing coveralls throughout the day more convenient compared to repeatedly changing clothes. Further, it eliminates the hassle of using the bathroom experienced while wearing traditional coveralls.
It will also be appreciated that there are a number of additional add-on features that can be incorporated into the device and moreover, the all-in-one coverall device can take many different forms as is known in the art.
In yet another embodiment, the all-in-one coverall device comprises a plurality of indicia.
In yet another embodiment, a method of conveniently modifying the look and feel of the all-in-one coverall device is disclosed. Steps of the method include providing an all-in-one coverall device comprising an upper body component, long sleeve components, a lower body component, and long pant components connected by a variety of zippers. The method also comprises donning the fully assembled all-in-one coverall device. Further, the method comprises removing the reversibly attachable long sleeve components from the upper body component. Additionally, the method comprises removing the reversibly attachable long pant components from the lower body component. Finally, the method comprises utilizing the device while working, traveling, or during other activities.

The present invention, in one exemplary embodiment, is a novel all-in-one coverall or overall device that is easily modifiable to accommodate changing temperatures throughout the day. The all-in-one coverall device comprises an upper body component, lower body component, long sleeve components, and long pant components all connected with various zippers to create a coverall garment. The lower body component also comprises an adjustable drawstring elastic waistband embedded within the waist area. Thus, once the device is donned a user may adjust the waistband and remove or attach different components to suit their comfort while working, traveling, or during other activities. The present invention also includes a novel method of conveniently modifying the look and feel of the all-in-one coverall or overall device. The method includes the first step of providing an all-in-one coverall device comprising an upper body component, long sleeve components, a lower body component, and long pant components connected by a variety of zippers. The method also comprises donning the fully assembled all-in-one coverall device. Further, the method comprises removing the reversibly attachable long sleeve components from the upper body component. Additionally, the method comprises removing the reversibly attachable long pant components from the lower body component. Finally, the method comprises utilizing the device while working, traveling, or during other activities.

Further, the lower body component 130 covers the user from the waist to the knee and features a vertical groin zipper 132, knee zippers 134, an elastic drawstring waistband 136, and pockets 150. The vertical groin zipper 132 assists in the donning of the device 100 and using the restroom while wearing the device 100. Knee zippers 134 are located around the bottom edges of each leg of the lower body component and are used to attach two long pant components 140, one on each leg. The vertical groin zipper 132 and knee zippers 134 are concealed by fabric flaps 160 while not in use. The elastic drawstring waistband 136 is concealed within the upper edge of the lower body component 130 and enables for adjustment of the waist circumference of the device 100 to suit the needs of the user. Pockets 150 found on the upper body component 110 and the lower body component 130 can be used to hold writing utensils, tools, or any other belongings of the user while working, traveling, or performing other activities.

In yet another embodiment, the all-in-one coverall device 100 comprises a plurality of indicia. The upper body component 110, long sleeve components 120, lower body component 130, or long pant components 140 of the device 100 may include advertising, a trademark, or other letters, designs, or characters, printed, painted, stamped, or integrated into the device 100, or any other indicia as is known in the art. Specifically, any suitable indicia as is known in the art can be included, such as but not limited to, patterns, logos, emblems, images, symbols, designs, letters, words, characters, animals, advertisements, brands, etc., that may or may not be brand related.
It will also be appreciated that there are a number of additional add-on features that can be incorporated into the device 100 and moreover, the all-in-one coverall device 100 can take many different forms as is known in the art.
Certain terms are used throughout the following description and claims to refer to particular features or components. As one skilled in the art will appreciate, different users may refer to the same feature or component by different names.
