The subject invention called “The Convertible Hair Dryer Caddie” is directed to a wall-mounted caddie that supports the standard hair dryer and it's accessories and also converts the hair dryer into an automatic hand dryer.
The Convertible Hair Dryer Caddie was designed to give residential home owners the same automatic hand drying benefits found in automatic hand dryers found in commercial restrooms. The convertible hair dryer caddie utilizes a hair dryer to supply the hot air. It not only supports the hair dryer and it's accessories, the caddie funnels the hot air produced from the hair dryer into the caddie's duct cannel. The hot air from the hair dryer will now dry a person's hands located directly under the caddie's air duct canal. At this location the person's hands has activated the laser at the base of the caddie and causes the hair dryer to come on similar to the wall mounted hair dryers found in most commercial restrooms. The caddie is plugged into the standard 120-volt socket. The hair dryer is plugged into the caddie. When an object comes in contact with the laser, the hot air from the hair dryer is funneled through the caddie's air ducts and is exhausted at the base of the caddie. At this point the hair dryer in conjunction with the caddie operates like an automatic hand dryer. The convertible hair dryer allows the average homeowner with a hair dryer to convert or use the hair dryer for drying hands and other objects. It can be placed on a counter to dry fingernails. It can be also placed on a floor to dry a persons toenails. Without holding the hair dryer or turning on any switches, a person can dry their hands, finger nails, and toe nails. It is the first caddie that does more that than support accessories. The invention summarized and described below is the first invention of its kind to meet these needs.
Briefly summarized, the present invention in one broad aspect is a convertible hair dryer caddie which can be mounted on a wall and support a hair dryer and it's accessories. The convertible hair dryer caddie can be plugged into the standard wall socket. The hair dryer is plugged into the caddie and is activated by a laser located at the base of the caddie. The hair dryer is mounted on top of the caddie in a whole that is connected to the duct canal of the caddie. The air duct canal of the caddie causes the hot air produced from the hair dryer to be funneled to the base of the caddie. When an ‘object such as a person’s hand comes in contact with the laser located at the base of the caddie, it causes the hair dryer to come on. The hot air from the hair dryer is funneled through the air duct canal of the caddie to dry hands or any other objects located at the base of the caddie. The convertible hair dryer caddie converts the hairdryer into more than a hair-drying device. The hair dryer coupled with the caddie becomes an automatic hand dryer similar to the automatic hand dryer found in most commercial restrooms. The caddie can also be placed on a counter and used to dry a persons freshly painted finger nails or placed on the floor to dry a persons freshly painted toenails. The convertible hair dryer caddie utilizes the hot air generated from a standard hair dryer to do more than just dry hair.
