TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an improved cooling structure and, more particularly, to an improved cooling structure that allows a user to choose a base plate having a pattern according to the user's preference, and to cut the base plate into a final plate suitable to a notebook.
Description of the Prior Art
With rapid increase of computing speed in the processor of a computer, a lot of heat is generated in the computer. Because the size of a notebook is small, the internal space is not enough for dissipating heat effectively. Therefore, a long time use of a notebook would result in a cumulative heat contained therein.
Also, since most of notebooks are placed on top of a desk, the gap between the underside of a notebook and the desk is very small, thereby causing a poor dissipation of heat. Thus, the reliability and the service life of electronic components contained in the notebook may be reduced.
For mitigating the above defect, a variety of cooling devices have been developed, one of which employs one or more fans in cooperation with an external seat placed under a notebook, to increase the air flow communicating with the seat, so that the capacity of the heat dissipation can be increased, and the temperature of the notebook can be reduced.
However, for the modem world, how to make the operation of a cooling device to be more unique and novel is also pursued by persons who wish for a personalized design, in addition to the functions thereof. Thus, there is a need to provide a cooling device that allows a user to have a personalized style conveniently.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The primary object of the present invention is to provide an improved cooling structure that allows a user to choose a base plate having a pattern according to the user's preference, and to cut the base plate into a final plate suitable to a notebook.
To achieve the above object, the improved cooling structure may comprise a cooling means and a base plate. The cooling means is provided with a plurality of connection portions extending outwardly. The connection portions are capable of being affixed to a first frame and a second frame, each frame being provided with a colored region. The base plate is capable of being fixedly assembled to the first and second frames. The base plate is provided with an application zone, which can be formed into a literal, figurative, or mesh-like pattern. The base plate can be made of acrylic, plastic such as PC or ABS, bamboo, ceramic material, non-metal, or metal. In use, a user may choose a base plate having a pattern according to his or her preference, and cut the base plate into a final plate suitable to a notebook that the cooling structure will be applied to. Thereafter, the base place can be assembled or replaced conveniently.
Other objects, advantages, and novel features of the present invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
Turning now to FIGS. 1, 2, 2A, 2B, and 3, one embodiment of an improved cooling structure according to the present invention is illustrated. The cooling structure generally comprises a cooling means 1 and a base plate 2. The cooling means 1 includes a case 10 and a fan 11 mounted in the case 10. The cooling means 1 is provided with a plurality of connection portions 12, which extends outwardly from the case 10 and are capable of being affixed to a first frame 13 and a second frame 14. Each of the first and second frames 13, 14 is provided with a colored region, which can be formed by using an anodizing treatment to allow the region to show a color, such as red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, purple or the like. Also, the cooling means 1 is provided with a plurality of light-emitting elements 15, which can be arranged on the connection portions 12, facing toward the base plate 2. The first frame 13 defines a first recess 130, and the second frame 14 defines a second recess 140, for receiving the base plate 2. Thereby, two opposing sides of the base plate 2 are respectively received in the first recess 130 and the second recess 140. By using screws 3, the base plate 2 can be fixedly assembled to the first frame 13 and the second frame 14. Furthermore, the base plate 2 is provided with an application zone 20 on a top thereof. The application zone 20 can be formed into a literal, figurative, or mesh-like pattern. The base plate 2 can be made of acrylic, plastic such as PC or ABS, bamboo, ceramic material, non-metal, or metal.
To take a base plate having a figurative pattern as an example for illustrating the use of the present invention will be detailed in the following. In use, as shown in FIGS. 3, 4, 4A, 4B, and 5, a user may choose a base plate 2, which has a predetermined pattern, such as words or a figure, on the application zone 20 thereof, according to his or her preference. Thereafter, the base plate 2 can be cut into a final plate having a predetermined size suitable to a notebook 4, which the cooling structure will be applied to. Then, two opposing sides of the base plate 2 can be respectively received in the first recess 130 of the first frame 13 and the second recess 140 of the second frame 14. At the same time, the screws 3 can be employed to fasten the cooling means 1 and the base plate 2 to the first and second frames 13, 14, so that the cooling means 1 can be affixed to the first and second frames 13, 14, and the base plate 2 can be fixedly assembled to the first and second frames 13, 14. Thereafter, the cooling means 1 can be electrically connected to the notebook 4 or other suitable power sources to turn on the fan 11 within the case 10 and the light-emitting elements 15 on the cooling means 1. With the present invention, the user may choose desired components to complete a personalized design of a cooling device.
Turning next to FIGS. 6, 6A, and 7, a second embodiment of the present invention is illustrated, wherein the application zone 20a of the base plate 2a is formed into a mesh-like pattern. In use, the base plate 2a can be cut into a final plate having a predetermined size suitable to a notebook 4a, which the cooling structure will be applied to. Two opposing sides of the base plate 2a can be respectively received in the first recess 130a of the first frame 13a and the second recess 140a of the second frame 14a. At the same time, the screws 3a can be employed to fasten the cooling means 1a and the base plate 2a to the first and second frames 13a, 14a, so that the cooling means 1a can be affixed to the first and second frames 13a, 14a, and the base plate 2a can be fixedly assembled to the first and second frames 13a, 14a. Thereafter, the cooling means 1a can be electrically connected to the notebook 4a or other power sources to turn on the fan 11a within the case 10a and the light-emitting elements 15a on the cooling means 1a.
In light of the foregoing, the present invention has advantages over the prior art in that a user may choose a base plate containing an application zone having a predetermined pattern, such as a literal, figurative or mesh-like pattern, in cooperation with two frames each with a colored region, to complete a personalized design of a cooling device.
Although the present invention has been described with a certain degree of particularity, it is understood that the present disclosure is made by way of example only and the combination and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention hereinafter claimed.
