Claims
- 1. A chemical treatment to be utilized in recirculating evaporative cooling tower systems providing for the prevention of scale and deposition and further providing for the in-service removal of scale and deposits present in the systems consisting essentially of a composition having the following formulation:
- ______________________________________Ingredient Percent by Weight______________________________________Tetrasodium salt of 10%ethylene diaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA)(as a 40% active,aqueous solution)2-phosphonobutane-1,2,4- 10%tricarboxylic acid (PBTCphosphonate) (as a 50%active, aqueous solution)1-hydroxyethane-1,1- 3%diphosphonic acid (HEDP)(as a 60% active, aqueoussolution)Polymaleic acid, sodium 5%salt (as a 50% active,aqueous solution) with amolecular weight of between500-1000Polyacrylate copolymer 6%(as a 50% active, aqueoussolution) with a molecularweight of about 10,000Polyacrylate (as a 50% 2%active, aqueous solution)with a molecular weight ofbetween 2000-6000Sodium gluconate 1%Sodium molybdate 2%Sodium benzotriazole 0.5%Water balance.______________________________________
