Claims
- 1. A copolymer comprising the polymerization product of:(a) an alpha-olefin monocarboxylic acid having at least 8 carbon atoms; and (b) a mono- or di-ester of an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid or a mono- or di-ester of an unsaturated anhydride.
- 2. The copolymer of claim 1 wherein the copolymer is a salt formed by base-neutralization of carboxylic acid groups of the copolymer.
- 3. The copolymer of claim 2 wherein monomer (b) from which the copolymer is formed consists essentially of unsaturated diesters.
- 4. The copolymer of claim 3 wherein monomer (a) from which the copolymer is formed consists essentially of undecylenic acid.
- 5. The copolymer of claim 4 wherein monomer (b) consists essentially of dialkyl maleate.
