Claims
- 1. A copolymer having repeating units of the formula: ##STR11## wherein: R represents hydrogen, alkyl, aryl, substituted aryl, or an alicyclic hydrocarbon having from 1 to about 20 carbon atoms;
- each R.sup.1 independently represents hydrogen, chlorine, bromine, fluorine, cyano or a lower primary or secondary alkyl of 1-4 carbon atoms;
- each R.sup.2 independently represents hydrogen or alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms;
- each R.sup.3 independently represents hydrogen, alkyl, or aryl having up to about 10 carbon atoms or when taken together represent a cyclic alkyl or arylene group having up to 20 carbon atoms; and
- the mole ratio of (a+c+d):(b+e+f) is approximately equal to 1; e can be 0 to 49 mole per cent; b and f taken independently can be 0 to 50 mole per cent of the entire polymer provided that both b and f cannot simultaneously be zero.
- 2. A copolymer according to claim 1 having a number average molecular weight of about 500 to about 250,000.
