Claims
- 1. In a core box assembly composed of an upper section and mating lower section, the improvement comprising:
- (a) said upper section having a plurality of vertically aligned holes penetrating through the top wall thereof;
- (b) a flat plate mounted in a sliding relationship on the exterior of said top wall having slant openings partially penetrating therethrough and disposed above the holes in said top wall of the upper core box section, said slant openings terminating in grooves intersecting the axes of said holes at a predetermined slanted angle;
- (c) slant headed pins slidably positioned in the holes in said upper core box section and extending into said first plate, the heads of said pins being slanted to the axes of said pins and adapted to engage said grooves in the flat plate; and
- (d) a rod extending laterally from said plate whereby reciprocation of the rod causes the plate to reciprocate and correspondingly said pins are extended into or withdrawn from the interior of the upper core box section.
- 2. The core box assembly of claim 1 further comprising
- (e) said mating lower core box section having a plurality of holes penetrating through the bottom wall thereof;
- (f) headed ejector pins slidably positioned in said holes, said headed pins being extended through said bottom wall and attached to a plate at the opposite end thereof; and
- (g) an enclosure corresponding in height to at least the greatest extended length of the ejector pins, said enclosure attached to and supporting the bottom wall of said lower core box section.
