Abstract
A corset for generating a thigh gap, the corset including pants and a flexed spring attached by attaching means to the pants from an inner side of one thigh, through a groin, to an inner side of other thigh of the pants, so that the spring exerts a force for generating a thigh gap.
Description
TECHNICAL FIELD

The invention relates to the field of corsetry.

BACKGROUND ART

A “thigh gap” is a space between the inner thighs of some people when standing upright with feet touching.

Beginning around 2013, the thigh gap had become an aspect of physical attractiveness in the Western world and has been associated with fragility and femininity, although it is also seen as desirable by some men as a sign of fitness. In the United States, it had been reported that among teenage girls, a gap had become a beauty ideal. Many women have found it difficult to achieve a thigh gap, leading some to resort to extreme dieting or even surgery in order to try to obtain it. The thigh gap craze has also been criticized as physically unnatural and a mostly unachievable body shape goal and as a cause of eating disorders.” (From Wikipedia)

As such, there is a long felt need (in terms of fashion) of a garment worn on the legs that shapes a thigh gap.

SUMMARY

In one aspect, the invention is directed to a corset for generating a thigh gap, the corset comprising: pants (20); and a flexed spring (10), attached by attaching means to the pants from an inner side of one thigh, through a groin, to an inner side of other thigh of the pants, so that the spring exerts a force for generating a thigh gap.

Preferably, the flexed spring is a corset bone spring.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the flexed spring is flat.

The attaching means may be a seam, a pocket in the pants, gluing, and do on.

Preferably, an area 3 to 7 cm width around the spring is reinforced by a more rigid material than a material of the pants, for preventing wrinkles in this area.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

Embodiments, features, and aspects of the invention are described herein in conjunction with the following drawings:

FIG. 1 is a front view of pants 20 worn by a user, according to the prior art.

FIG. 2 is a front view of long pants 20 worn by a user, according to one embodiment of the invention.

FIG. 3 is a front view of pants 20 worn by a user, according to one embodiment of the invention.

FIG. 4 is a perspective view on a corset bone spring 10 held by a user, according to one embodiment of the invention.

FIG. 5 is a perspective view on a corset bone spring 10, according to one embodiment of the invention.

It should be understood that the drawings are not necessarily drawn to scale.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The invention will be understood from the following detailed description of preferred embodiments (“best mode”), which are meant to be descriptive and not limiting. For the sake of brevity, some well-known features, methods, systems, procedures, components, circuits, and so on, are not described in detail.

The term “pants” refers herein to a clothing item that covers the waist and both legs separately (as opposed to robes and skirts), and can reach the ankles at most. As such, trousers and shorts, underwear and outerwear, are included herein in the term “pants”.

The feature of corsets is the fact that they wrap around the limb. Since they are made of non-flexible material, the mantle, that is, the corset, defines the shape of the organ.

FIG. 1 is a front view of pants 20 worn by a user, according to the prior art.

For the sake of brevity, the user is not illustrated.

As illustrated, there is no gap between the thighs location 40 of pants 20.

FIG. 2 is a front view of long pants 20 worn by a user, according to one embodiment of the invention.

For the sake of brevity, the user is not illustrated.

The difference between the pants of FIG. 1 and the pants of FIG. 2 is the existence of a gap 30 between the thighs location 40 of pants 20 in the pants of FIG. 2.

FIG. 3 is a front view of pants 20 worn by a user, according to one embodiment of the invention.

For the sake of brevity, the user is not illustrated.

Numeral 22 denotes a part of the pants that covers the inner side of the thigh of the user; and numeral 24 denotes a part of the pants that covers the groin of the user.

As illustrated, there is a gap 30 between the parts 22 of the pants that cover the thighs of the user. The dotted curve 10 denotes a bent spring sewn in the pants. The spring 10 applies force on areas 22 of the pants 20 in the direction illustrated by the arrows, such that a gap 30 is generated between the thighs.

Since the spring 10 is narrow in relation to the width of the inner thigh area 22, according to one embodiment of the invention this area of the pants is reinforced by a more rigid material, for preventing wrinkles in this area. The width of such an area may be, for example, between 3 to 7 cm.

FIG. 4 is a perspective view on a corset bone spring 10 held by a user, according to one embodiment of the invention.

FIG. 5 is a perspective view on a corset bone spring 10, according to one embodiment of the invention.

The arrows denote possible bending directions, to which the spring resists.

The use of corset bone spring in corsetry industry is very common. It is flat and therefore does not significantly thickens a fabric, comprises a plurality of loops that can be sewn to a fabric, it can be disposed in a pocket of a garment, and light weighted.

As such, a corset bone spring is a preferred embodiment of the invention; however, it should be noted that other forms of spring that resists to bending can be used, such as gluing, a pocket in which the spring is disposed etc. In the case of a pocket, the spring may be removed before washing the pants, and returned back afterwards.

In the figures and/or description herein, the following reference numerals (Reference Signs List) have been mentioned:

    • numeral 10 denotes a spring that provides bending resistance;
    • numeral 20 denotes pants, corset, garment, underwear, etc., as an example of a clothing item;
    • numeral 22 denotes a part of the pants that covers a thigh of a user;
    • numeral 24 denotes a part of the pants that covers a groin of a user;
    • numeral 30 denotes a gap between thighs; and
    • numeral 40 denotes a thigh location of pants, corset, garment, underwear, etc., as an example of a clothing item.

The foregoing description and illustrations of the embodiments of the invention has been presented for the purposes of illustration. It is not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the above description in any form.

Any term that has been defined above and used in the claims, should to be interpreted according to this definition.

The reference numbers used to point out elements in the embodiments described and illustrated herein have been used in order to facilitate the understanding of the invention. They are meant to be merely illustrative, and not limiting. Also, the foregoing embodiments of the invention have been described and illustrated in conjunction with systems and methods thereof, which are meant to be merely illustrative, and not limiting.

The reference numbers in the claims are not a part of the claims, but rather used for facilitating the reading thereof. These reference numbers should not be interpreted as limiting the claims in any form.
