The technical field generally relates to devices, apparatuses and methods for applying product to eyelashes or hairs. More particularly, the invention relates to a mascara brush with a multitude of arms (at least 2) coming down on each other with the eyelash or hairs in between and applying a product (such as mascara, serum, medications, compounds, etc) to the eyelashes or hairs in an even fashion, thus allowing for volume, precision, and distribution to be met.
Currently mascara and other products such as serum are applied with one brush on each eyelash set (eyelash at the top and eyelash at the bottom). However, this can create clumps in the mascara and other products that are applied (i.e. uneven application), can be very tedious due to the shape and sizes done today and in the end defeating the purpose of cosmetic application.
To remedy this many have decided to reinvent the bristles (i.e. increasing sizes, distances, and curvature). However, none of these seem to fix the issue at hand.
Therefore, a need exists in the field for a novel cosmetic and medical brush and barrel system to provide a solution to the problem of clumping that is typically associated with a single headed cosmetic/medical applicators. It has also been left for the present inventor to discover a solution to the challenge even distribution and fullness of eyelashes through the use of a double headed bristle controlled by a double handle.
It is an objective of the present invention to provide devices and methods that allow for applying cosmetic and medical product to an eyelash or hair, as specified in the independent claims. Embodiments of the invention are given in the dependent claims. Embodiments of the present invention can be freely combined with each other if they are not mutually exclusive.

One of the unique and inventive technical features of the present invention is the multi-headed mascara brush. Without wishing to limit the invention to any theory or mechanism, it is believed that the technical feature of the present invention advantageously avoids clumping and by applying mascara to the eyelashes or hairs in an even fashion in a fraction of the time required to apply mascara while utilizing traditional single brush head methods and avoids the requirement for a user to perform an up and down motion.

In a broad embodiment, the present invention features a cosmetic applicator (100) comprising a first component (110) comprising a first handle (112) a first arm (114) and a first head (116) having first bristles (118), wherein the first handle (112) and the first arm (114) meet at a first hinge region (120); a second component (130) comprising a second handle (132) second arm (134) and a second head (136) having second bristles (138), wherein the second handle (132) and the second arm (134) meet at a second hinge region (140). The first hinge region (120) hingeably attaches to the second hinge region (140). Further, the first handle (112) and the second handle (132) are moved toward each other, the first head (116) and the second head (136) move away from each other. In some embodiments, the first bristles (118) and the second bristles (138) are a sufficient distance to allow eyelashes and hairs to interact with the first bristles (118) and second bristles (138). In some embodiments, the first handle (112) and the second handle (132) are removably coupled to the first head (116) and the second head (136). In some embodiments, the first bristles (118) and second bristles (138) are moveable. In some embodiments, the movement of the first bristles (118) and second bristles (138) comprises at least one physical interaction (intertwining).
The present invention also features a bristle assembly (150) comprising: a first component (160) comprising a first handle (162) a first arm (164) and a first head (166) having first bristles (168); a second component (170) comprising a second handle (172) a second arm (174) and a second head (176) having second bristles (178). The first arm (164) and the second arm (174) are flexibly independent (or inversely) of each other. Further, the first handle (162) and second handle (172) are detachably connected to the first arm (164) and second arm (174). In some embodiments, movement of the first component (160) and the second component (170) transmit mechanical force received from the first handle (162) and the second handle (172) to the first bristles (168) and second bristles (178) respectively. In some embodiments, the first bristles (168) and the second bristles (178) are a sufficient distance to allow eyelashes and hairs to interact with the first bristles (168) and second bristles (178). In some embodiments, the first bristles (168) and second bristles (178) are moveable. In some embodiments, the movement of the first bristles (168) and second bristles (178) comprises at least one physical interaction (intertwining).
