The following includes information that may be useful in understanding the present disclosure. It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art nor material to the presently described or claimed inventions, nor that any publication or document that is specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.
The present invention relates generally to the field of brushes and more specifically relates to cosmetic brush systems.
Cosmetic brushes are the main applicators for people applying makeup. Different sorts of makeup require different brushes such as a lip brush, an eye shadow brush etc. In cosmetic applicators currently commercially available, one brush has only one function, so the user needs to buy a set of brushes to achieve a satisfactory makeup. A brush head on a normal brush can easily be damaged by frequent use and may need to be replaced. However, it is wasteful to throw the brush handle and ferrule away when only the head of the brush is damaged. A suitable solution is desired.
U.S. Pub. No. 2013/0125921 to Wayne Celia relates to a method and apparatus for a makeup applicator. The described method and apparatus for a makeup applicator includes a makeup applicator comprising a ferrule and a series of reversibly attachable, interchangeable heads and a method of making the same. Through these interchangeable heads, the instant invention allows for quick and convenient use of multiple makeup applicators that are relatively simple to manufacture, stable enough to be used with precision, and highly adaptable.
In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known brushes art, the present disclosure provides novel cosmetic brush systems. The general purpose of the present disclosure, which will be described subsequently in greater detail, is to provide an efficient applicator means.
A cosmetic brush system is disclosed herein. The cosmetic brush system includes a cosmetic brush assembly having a head assembly including an application head, tubular member, and a base, and a handle. The application head is located at a distal end of the tubular member and the base is located at a proximal end of the tubular member; the base configured to receive and secure the handle via fastening means for use. In certain embodiments, the base of the head assembly comprises apertures configured to allow fluid to pass therethrough for cleaning and sanitizing bristles of the application head. A magnetic element inside the top of brush attachment may be attached to a magnetic surface to allow the brush to dry quicker, more effectively and reduce/eliminate excess water, mold, and residue. The present invention is directed to an interchangeable makeup brush that solves multiple problems due to limitations and disadvantages of the convention cosmetic brush by having the handle and the cosmetic brush head disassemble and assemble quick and easily for the consumer's convenience.
For purposes of summarizing the invention, certain aspects, advantages, and novel features of the invention have been described herein. It is to be understood that not necessarily all such advantages may be achieved in accordance with any one embodiment of the invention. Thus, the invention may be embodied or carried out in a manner that achieves or optimizes one advantage or group of advantages as taught herein without necessarily achieving other advantages as may be taught or suggested herein. The features of the invention which are believed to be novel are particularly pointed out and distinctly claimed in the concluding portion of the specification. These and other features, aspects, and advantages of the present invention will become better understood with reference to the following drawings and detailed description.
The figures which accompany the written portion of this specification illustrate embodiments and methods of use for the present disclosure, a cosmetic brush systems, constructed and operative according to the teachings of the present disclosure.
The various embodiments of the present invention will hereinafter be described in conjunction with the appended drawings, wherein like designations denote like elements.
As discussed above, embodiments of the present disclosure relate to brushes and more particularly to a cosmetic brush system as used to improve the efficiency of cosmetic application.
Generally, the present invention comprises a makeup brush with a replaceable brush head and a replaceable handle. The replaceable handle is snapped-on friction-fitted into the replaceable brush. Inside the replaceable brush are small holes that spray water or cleaning solution through the brush bristles to clean the residue from makeup off the brushes more effectively. The screw portion in the replaceable handle is designed to be fitted tightly and secure for application. This newly designed makeup brush is created for economic benefits for the consumer, easy portability, storage and is sustainable for environment.
The bristles of the brush may be molded securely in place with small punctures that allow air, water, and cleaning solution to flow through and clean the brush more efficiently. The section between the handle and the brush bristles is preferably a hollow tube to allow for the water, cleaning solution to pass through. The empty hollow space will also make room for the handle and the replaceable brush to fasten in/snap in, screw in/lock in with three handles. The fewer handles and replaceable cosmetic brushes have economic, storage, portability and environmentally sustainable benefits.
Referring now more specifically to the drawings by numerals of reference, there is shown in
The bristles of the application head 116 are provided on an outer perimeter of the apertures 128. The bristles may comprise synthetic or non-synthetic fibers. The synthetic fibers may be 100% animal-free, made from engineered fiber that uses 28% annually renewable plant based ingredients. The engineered fiber maintains consistency and less breakage which significantly improves the quality and allows for a more streamlined supply chain. The bristles have a sustainable antibacterial effect. In other embodiments, the synthetic fibers may comprise 37% renewable plant based ingredients. The apertures 128 comprise a plurality of circular punctures having a suitable sized opening for allowing the fluid to pass therethrough for cleaning and sanitizing the application head 116. The application head 116 comprises a sponge cosmetic brush, a lipstick application brush, or other brush for makeup application.
According to one embodiment, the cosmetic brush systems may be arranged as a kit. The kit may include a plurality of interchangeable application heads 116, a plurality of handles 130, and a carrying case 10. The instructions may detail functional relationships in relation to the structure of the cosmetic brush systems (such that the cosmetic brush systems can be used, maintained, or the like, in a preferred manner).
The embodiments of the invention described herein are exemplary and numerous modifications, variations and rearrangements can be readily envisioned to achieve substantially equivalent results, all of which are intended to be embraced within the spirit and scope of the invention. Further, the purpose of the foregoing abstract is to enable the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the public generally, and especially the scientist, engineers and practitioners in the art who are not familiar with patent or legal terms or phraseology, to determine quickly from a cursory inspection the nature and essence of the technical disclosure of the application.
This application is a continuation-in-part of U.S. patent application Ser. No. 15/672,225, filed on 8 Aug. 2017, titled COSMETIC BRUSH SYSTEMS, which is entirely incorporated by reference.
