The present disclosure relates to a toiletry article, and more particularly, to a cosmetic compact that has an innovative structure for implementing desired functions.
Conventional cosmetic compacts are designed for accommodating cosmetic powder. Each of the conventional cosmetic compacts is normally designed to have an individual shape. The individual shapes of the conventional cosmetic compacts are usually not well-suited for easy alignment with each other to form a desired pattern. In addition, when a user carries the conventional cosmetic compacts, the conventional cosmetic compacts may be scattered in a toiletry package, thereby occupying an excessive amount of space in the toiletry package.
This Background section is provided for background information only. The statements in this Background are not an admission that the subject matter disclosed in this section constitutes prior art to the present disclosure, and no part of this Background section may be used as an admission that any part of this application, including this Background section, constitutes prior art to the present disclosure.

In the exemplary embodiment, the cosmetic compact 8 comprises two pivot rods 5 disposed for allowing the cover 2 to pivot in relation to the body 1. One of the pivot rods 5 extends from a side of the pivot portion 113 into a corresponding one side of the pivot block 23, and the other one of the pivot rods 5 extends from an opposite side of the pivot portion 113 into a corresponding one side of the pivot block 23.
In the exemplary embodiment, referring to
In other embodiments, the quantities of the fastening member 4, the protrusion 24, the fastening-member-embedded groove 25, the coupling member 3, the depression 114, the coupling-member-embedded groove 115, and the coupling-member-retaining groove 126 may be varied. For example, in other embodiments, the cosmetic compact 8 may include two fastening members 4, two fastening-member-embedded grooves 25, only one coupling member 3 and only one coupling-member-embedded groove 115. (The same objective can be achieved when the coupling member 3 and the coupling-member-embedded groove 115 are V-shaped even if the cosmetic compact 8 includes only one coupling member 3 and only one coupling-member-embedded groove 115.)
In the exemplary embodiment, the body 1 and the cover 2 are made of polypropylene, while, in other embodiments, the materials of the body 1 and the cover 2 may be varied.
In other embodiments, the coupling-member-retaining groove 126 may be omitted since the coupling member 3 may be firmly embedded into the coupling-member-embedded groove 115 using other methods.
In the exemplary embodiment, referring to
In other embodiments, the quantity of the supporting fin 125 may be varied, while in yet other embodiments, the supporting fin 125 may be omitted altogether.
During an assembly operation of the cosmetic compact 8, in the exemplary embodiment, the coupling members 3 are first and respectively embedded into the coupling-member-embedded grooves 115, and the platform 12 is subsequently mounted to the base 11. With such arrangement, the coupling-member-retaining grooves 126 are respectively aligned with the coupling-member-embedded grooves 115, and thus the coupling-member-retaining grooves 126 respectively retain the coupling members 3. Subsequently, the fastening member 4 is embedded into the fastening-member-embedded groove 25 of the cover 2, and the pivot block 23 of the cover 2 is then mounted into the pivot portion 113 of the body 1. One of the pivot rods 5 extends from the side of the pivot portion 113 of the body 1 into the corresponding side of the pivot block 23 of the cover 2, and the other one of the pivot rods 5 extends from the opposite side of the pivot portion 113 of the body 1 into the other corresponding side of the pivot block 23 of the cover 2 to complete the assembly operation.
In the exemplary embodiment, referring to
In the exemplary embodiment, the coupling members 3 are configured as magnets and the fastening member is configured as an iron sheet, such that when the cover 2 is in the closed state, the fastening member 4 is in contact with the coupling members 3 and is magnetically attracted by the coupling members 3 so as to reliably fasten the cover 2 to the body 1.
In the exemplary embodiment, the cover 2 is transparent, so that the user can observe cosmetic powder contained in the cosmetic compact 8 without changing the state of the cover 2. In other embodiments, the cover 2 may not be transparent, and may be of a color that is the same as the color of the cosmetic powder, so that the user can still distinguish the color of the cosmetic powder when the cover 2 is in the closed state.
In the exemplary embodiment, the cosmetic compact 8 is water-drop-shaped, and in other embodiments, the cosmetic compact 8 may be formed in other polygonal shapes such as a triangular shape, a rectangular shape, a pentagonal shape and a hexagonal shape.
In the exemplary embodiment, the protrusion 24 and the depression 114 are shaped according to the shape of the cosmetic compact 8, such that the protrusion 24 and the depression 114 are water-drop-shaped. In other embodiments, the shapes of the protrusion 24 and the depression 114 may be different from the shape of the cosmetic compact 8.
In conclusion, with the disposition of the coupling member 3, the cosmetic compacts 8 can be assembled together for presenting a desired pattern. In addition, with the disposition of the depression 114 and the protrusion 24, the cosmetic compacts 8 can be vertically stacked to reduce occupied space. Therefore, the objective of the disclosure is achieved.
