The present invention relates to a cosmetic compact, and more particularly to a cosmetic compact comprising an interactive drawer arrangement adapted to fully utilize and expose the upper and lower drawers for providing a variety of cosmetics or jewelry storage space with compact size.
Nowadays, a container for holding or storing items such as cosmetics and jewelry is commonly used in our daily life especially for lady. One of the most common types of decorative box is the cosmetic container. It is usually fitted with a tray divided into many small compartments. Because the cosmetic container is portable, women always carry the cosmetic container with them. However, the cosmetics container has several drawbacks.
On type of the conventional cosmetic container comprises only one drawer tray. Due to the limited storage space of the cosmetic container, it is not allowed for people to put all different varieties of cosmetic items or jewelry inside. Even though the user only puts all the small items in the trays, the items are not organized. It is a hassle for the user to pick the desired item in the cosmetic container, especially when the desired item is hidden at the bottom of the tray and is covered by other items. The only thing they can do is to grab all the items out, and picks the right one, and then put them back in the tray. It undoubtedly increases the chance of lost. Moreover, the procedure of picking and storage is very time-consuming.
Another type of conventional cosmetic container comprises a detachable upper tray removably supported in the case that the bottom interior cavity of the case forms a bottom tray when the upper tray is disposed in the case. Therefore, the user is able to take out the upper tray to put the items into the case. However, when the user wants to take the desired item at the bottom tray, he or she must remove the upper tray. Such cosmetic container requires relatively large tabletop area to support especially when the upper tray is removed from the case.
The third type of conventional cosmetic container comprises two different trays. When the cover is opened, the upper tray can be pivotally and outwardly lifted up from the bottom tray such that both the upper and bottom trays are fully exposed for the user to access. However, once the upper tray is outwardly lifted from the bottom tray, the center of gravity of the cosmetic container will shift in responsive to the position of the upper tray. Therefore, the cosmetic container will be supported in an unstable manner. When the heavier items are placed on the upper tray, the cosmetic container will be flipped over at the time the upper tray is outwardly folded.
Furthermore, the common drawback of the above mentioned containers is that the trays are designed not to detach from the case. Once the user wants to clean the cosmetic container, the only way he/she can do is to clean the surface of the cosmetics container with a wet cloth. It is not only hard to clean, but also impossible to clean well in detail. To sum up, it obviously can not achieve the current needs based on the existing cosmetics container.
A main object of the present invention is to provide a cosmetics container, wherein the cosmetic compact comprises an interactive drawer arrangement adapted to fully utilize and expose the upper and lower drawer for providing a variety of cosmetics or jewelry storage space with compact size.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a cosmetics container, wherein the overall weight of the upper and lower drawers is supported by the engaging gear such that when the upper and lower drawers are slid in the opposite opening directions, the center of gravity of the cosmetic container will remain the same in a stable manner.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a cosmetics container, wherein both of the upper and lower drawers slide away from each other through the engaging gears at the same time such that it simplify the operation of the expose the upper and lower drawers. In the same way, both the upper and lower drawers are slid towards each other through the engaging gears at the same time.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a cosmetics container, wherein the gear is supported by the upper and the lower groove of the sidewall and remains the supporting distance constant such that it simplify the structure and minimize the manufacturing cost.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a cosmetics container, wherein the upper and lower drawers are detachable such that the user is able to clean the detail of inside and outside of the cosmetics container.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a cosmetics container, wherein the upper and lower drawers are enclosed with the cover not only to ensure the unintentional folding operation of the upper and lower drawers but also to enhance the aesthetic appearance of the cosmetics container.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a cosmetics container, wherein the material of the cosmetics container is in light weight and the structural configuration of the cosmetics container is compact to enhance the portability thereof.
Accordingly, in order to accomplish the above objects, the present invention provides a container base comprising a container base, a container cover coupling with the container base to enclose the container base, and an interactive drawer arrangement.
The interactive drawer arrangement comprises an upper drawer slidably coupling between two sidewalls of the container base, a lower drawer slidably coupling between the sidewalls of the container base at a position underneath the upper drawer; and an interactive mechanism engaging between the upper and lower drawers to interactively shift the upper and lower drawers between an opened position and a closed position. At the opened position, the interactive mechanism is driven to automatically and concurrently shift the upper and lower drawers at two opposite opening directions so as to fully utilize and expose the upper and lower drawers. At the closed position, the interactive mechanism is driven to automatically and concurrently shift the upper and lower drawers at two opposite closing directions such that the upper and lower drawers are fully packed and enfolded in a double decked manner.
These and other objectives, features, and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following detailed description, the accompanying drawings, and the appended claims.

Accordingly, the first side panel 21, having a height corresponding to a height of each of the sidewalls 12 of the container base 10, is integrally extended from one of the transverse edge of the container base 10. The top panel 22 has a size corresponding to a size of the bottom wall 11 of the container base 10. The second side panel 23 has a corresponding size of the first side panel 21 that the height of the second side panel 23 matches with the height of each of the sidewalls 12 of the container base 10.
The container cover 20 is foldably enclosed the interactive drawer arrangement 30 when the top panel 22 covers on top of the upper drawer 31 while the first and second side panels 21, 23 forms another two sidewalls of the container base 10 to enclose two opposed sides of the upper and lower drawers 31, 32. In other words, when the container cover 20 is folded to enclose the container base 10, the upper and lower drawers 31, 32 cannot be slid from the closed position to the opened position so as to retain the upper and lower drawers 31, 32 at the closed position.
According to the preferred embodiment, the upper and lower drawers 31, 32 are horizontally and parallely mounted between the sidewalls 12 of the container base 10 such that the upper and lower drawers 31, 32 are slid outwardly in the opposite direction at the opened position. In other words, the upper and lower drawers 31, 32 are slid inwardly in the opposite direction at the closed position.
Each of the upper and lower drawers 31, 32 contains a plurality of organizing compartments 311, 321 with different sizes, such that the organizing compartments 311, 321 are fully exposed when the upper and lower drawers 31, 32 are slid at the opened position, while only the organizing compartments 311 of the upper drawer 31 are exposed when the upper and lower drawers 31, 32 are slid at the closed position. In other words, the user is able to select different configurations of the cosmetic container by closing the container cover 20 to enclose all the organizing compartments 311, 321 of the upper and lower drawers 31, 32, by opening the container cover 20 to only expose the organizing compartments 311 of the upper drawer 31, or by sliding out the upper and lower drawers 31, 32 concurrently to fully expose all the organizing compartments 311, 321 of the upper and lower drawers 31, 32.
As shown in
It is wroth to mention that both the upper and lower drawers 31, 32 are slid away from each other through the engaging gears 333 at the same time to the opened position such that it simplify the operation of the expose the upper and lower drawers 31, 32. In the same way, both the upper and lower drawers 31, 32 are slid towards each other through the engaging gears 333 at the same time to the closed position.
As shown in
Each of the upper guiders 331 has a bottom teething track 3311 engaging with an upper portion of the respective engaging gear 333. Correspondingly, each of the lower guiders 332 has an upper teething track 3321 engaging with a lower portion of the respective engaging gear 333. It is worth to mention that the upper guiders 331 can be built-in with the upper drawer 31 that the bottom teething tracks 3311 are spacedly formed at a bottom side of the upper drawer 31. Likewise, the lower guiders 332 can be built-in with the lower drawer 32 that the upper teething tracks 3321 are spacedly formed at a top side of the lower drawer 32.
Accordingly, when the upper drawer 31 is slid outwardly, the engaging gears 33 are driven to rotate through the engagement of the bottom teething tracks 3311 respectively. The rotation of the engaging gears 33 will drive the lower drawer 32 to slide at the opposite direction of the upper drawer 31. In other words, when the upper drawer 31 is horizontally slid between the sidewalls 12 of the container base 10, the lower drawer 32 will automatically be slid at the opposite direction of the upper drawer 31.
According to the preferred embodiment, each of the upper and lower guiders 331, 332 further has a corresponding stopper end 3312, 3322 and an opposed opening end 3313, 3323, as shown in
When the upper and lower drawers 31, 32 are slid at the closed position, the distance between the stopper ends 3312 of the upper guiders 331 and the stopper ends 3322 of the lower guiders 332 is increased. In other words, the distance between the opening ends 3313 of the upper guiders 331 and the opening ends 3323 of the lower guiders 332 is reduced. It is worth to mention that when the upper and lower drawers 31, 33 is kept sliding after the closed position, the upper and lower drawers 31, 32 are slid out of the container base 10 through the opening ends 3313, 3323 of the upper and lower guiders 331, 332.
Accordingly, the traditional container does not provide the slide-out configuration of the tray. Once the user wants to clean inside the cosmetic container, especially the bottom wall 11 of the container base 10, the user is able to slidably detach the upper and lower drawers 31, 32 from the container base 10. Then, the upper and lower drawers 31, 32 can be slid to engage with the engaging gears 333 to mount the upper and lower drawers 31, 32 back between the sidewalls 12 of the container base 10. In other words, the present invention also provides a simple but secure assembling operation of the upper and lower drawers 31, 32.
The engaging gears 333 are rotatably affixed to the sidewalls 12 of the container base 10 to retain the engaging gears 333 in position. More particularly, a center of each of the engaging gears 333 is coupled at the respective sidewall 12 at a position between the upper and lower sliding grooves 13, 14. Accordingly, the engaging gears 333 can substantially support the weight of the upper drawer 31 and thus retain the distance between the upper and lower drawers 31, 32. Since the engaging gears 333 are supported at the middle of the sidewalls 12 of the container base 10, the center of gravity of the cosmetics container will keep at the center thereof even though the upper and lower drawers 31, 32 are slid outwardly so as to maintain the stabilization of the cosmetics container of the present invention.
It is worth to mention that the engaging gears 333 are rotatably mounted at inner sides of the sidewalls 12 of the container base 10. The upper and lower sliding grooves 13, 14 are formed at the inner sides of the sidewalls 12 of the container base 10 to receive the upper and lower guiders 331, 332. The width of each of the upper and lower drawers 31, 32 is slightly smaller than a distance between the sidewalls 12 of the container base 10. Therefore, when the upper and lower drawers 31, 32 are slidably mounted between the sidewalls 12 of the container base 10, the interactive mechanism 33 hidden within the container base 10 so as to enhance the aesthetic appearance of the cosmetic container of the present invention.
