Description

The invention relates to a cosmetic pencil having a working end, a grip region and a combing or brushing device.

Cosmetic pencils of the type mentioned above are known. Such a known cosmetic pencil is depicted in FIG. 1. It has a brushing device which is attached to the end opposite the working end. The cosmetic pencil must therefore be rotated if the brushing device is to be used after the working end has been used. This rotation makes the cosmetic work considerably more difficult.

The object of the invention is therefore to develop the pencil of the type mentioned above in such a way that its handling is simplified.

According to the invention, the object set is solved by the combing or brushing device being between the working end and the grip region. In other words, the combing or brushing device is on the same side of the hand holding the pencil as the working end, which is why the pencil does not have to be rotated if the combing or brushing device is also to be used after the working end has been used.

According to a particularly preferred embodiment, the combing or brushing device can be moved axially. This design is particularly useful if the working end can be sharpened. In this way, the combing or brushing device can be moved to the appropriate position depending on the length which is reduced by sharpening. In this way, it can always be located between the working end and the grip region, regardless of the length of the pencil.

In accordance with the invention, the combing or brushing device is also preferably held rotationally fixed. This means that it can comb or brush by rotating around the longitudinal axis of the pencil.

According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the combing or brushing device is cuff-shaped. In other words, it, or at least a supporting structure for the teeth or bristles of the brushing or combing device, at least partially surrounds the pencil in such a way that the combing or brushing device is held on the pencil as a whole.

According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the combing or brushing device is pushed onto the shaft of the pencil. Here, the shaft of the pencil is understood to be the region from the working end to the end opposite to the working end.

According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention, it is provided that teeth and/or bristles of the combing or brushing device are arranged in at least one row which annularly surrounds the pencil or lies parallel to the main axis of the pencil.

Additionally or alternatively, it can be provided that teeth and/or bristles of the combing or brushing device are arranged in at least one row which helically circulates around the pencil.

The arrangement of the individual teeth and/or bristles can thus be optimally designed depending on the scope of application.

Finally, according to a preferred embodiment of the invention, it is provided that at least one element of the row has a plurality of teeth and/or bristles.

In other words, according to this design, it is provided that teeth and/or bristles are arranged together in groups, wherein individual groups are in turn arranged in at least one row. The groups can, for example, be in the shape of spots.

In the following, the invention is explained in more detail using preferred exemplary embodiments with reference to the enclosed drawing. Here are shown:

FIG. 1 a conventional cosmetic pencil, as it is held by a hand in three different positions,

FIG. 2 a partial view of a cosmetic pencil according to a preferred exemplary embodiment of the invention, as it is held in the hand,

FIG. 3 four cosmetic pencils according to exemplary embodiments of the invention,

FIG. 4 a cosmetic pencil having a sharpenable working end in a longer and shorter version, each having a moveable brush device and

FIG. 5 two cosmetic pencils, each according to a further exemplary embodiment of the invention.

FIG. 1a shows a conventional cosmetic pencil designated as a whole with the reference numeral 110, having a working end 112, which is held in one hand for working with the working end 112. A brushing device 114 is located on the end opposite the working end 112. The part of the shaft which is located between the working end 112 and the brushing device 114 has a grip region which is referred to with the reference numeral 116.

If the brushing device 114 is to be worked with, the pencil depicted in FIG. 1 must be rotated corresponding to the depiction in FIG. 1b, such that it is held according to the depiction in FIG. 1c.

In the case of the conventional cosmetic pencil according to FIG. 1, the grip region 116 is between the working end 112 and the brushing device 114.

FIG. 2 shows an exemplary embodiment of the cosmetic pencil according to the invention. The cosmetic pencil as a whole is referred to with the reference numeral 10. It has a working end 12, a brushing device 14 and a grip region 16. In contrast to the conventional cosmetic pencil, however, the grip region 16 is not located between the working end 12 and the brushing device 14, but rather behind the brushing device 14, seen from the working end 12. This means that it is not necessary to rotate the pencil if the brushing device 14 is to be used after the working end 12 has been used.

FIG. 3 shows four further exemplary embodiments of the cosmetic pencil according to the invention. Here, the brushing device 14 is respectively cuff-shaped and as in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2 is held rotationally fixed on the cosmetic pencil.

FIG. 4 shows an exemplary embodiment of the invention having a sharpenable working end 12. Here, FIG. 4a shows the cosmetic pencil before the first use. FIG. 4b shows it after being sharpened multiple times. Therefore, the cosmetic pencil is shorter in the view according to FIG. 4b than in the view according to FIG. 4a. In order to take into account the shortening of the pencil by sharpening, it is provided in this exemplary embodiment that the brushing device 14 is held in an axially moveable manner, see arrow. This means that it can be located between the working end 12 and the grip region 16, regardless of the total length of the cosmetic pencil 10. It is again designed to be cuff-shaped.

In the designs according to FIGS. 2 to 4, the brushing device shown there in each case can also be designed as a combing device. Here, the individual bristles and/or teeth of the combing or brushing device can be arranged with respect to each other in any desired way.

In many cases, however, it will be advantageous to arrange the bristles and/or teeth in at least one row which helically circulates around the pencil 10. However, such rows can also be arranged in such a way that they annularly surround the pencil or are parallel to the main pencil axis A (FIG. 4).

The rows can also be interrupted, as is the case with the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 5a. Here, gaps are provided between rows of bristles or teeth lying parallel to the main pencil axis A, one of which is referred to with the reference numeral 18 as an example.

FIG. 5b shows an exemplary embodiment having a bundle 20 of several bristles, wherein several such bundles are distributed annularly around the pencil. In other words, according to this embodiment, the bristles are grouped together in groups to form “spots” which in turn form a row annularly surrounding the pencil.

The features of the invention disclosed in the above description, claims and drawing can be essential, individually or in any combination, for the realisation of the invention in its various embodiments.
