DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENTS

Refer to FIG. 1. In the preferred embodiment, the cotton candy making machine of the present invention includes a base 10, a lifting mechanism 50 and a motor 11 disposed on the base 10 or the lifting mechanism 50; the motor 11 has a main axle 12 that drives a rotary po 20 which receives heat from a heating device 21 (as shown in dotted line). The heating device 21 may also be selectively disposed in the rotary pot 20 utilizing an electric heating wire. The rotary pot 20 has a plurality of holes 22 so as to distribute sugar material that is melted into liquid form to the rotary pot 20. A rotator 30 provided with a shaping mold 40 is disposed on top of the rotary pot 20 and driven by a motor 34; the motor 34 has a driving axle 35 and a worm 36 thereon. The worm 36 is provided on the driving axle 35. The worm 36 is engaged with a gear wheel or a worm wheel 31 provided on the rotator 30 so that the rotator 30 and the shaping mold 40 may be driven by the motor driving axle 35 to rotate freely. The rotator 30 is in hollow shape so as to dispose a flexible material feeding tube 33 for automatically feeding materials or for manually distributing sugar material to the rotary pot 20. A lifting mechanism 50 provided on the base 10 may drive the rotator 30 and the shaping mold 40 back and forth on a preset path.

In one preferred embodiment, the lifting mechanism 50 includes a vertical portion 51 and a horizontal portion 52 capable of adjusting a relative position on the vertical portion 51. A motor 53 is installed on the horizontal portion 52. The lifting mechanism 50 includes a driving axle 54 and a gear wheel 55 fixed at a front end of the driving axle. In relation to the gear wheel 55 at the front end of the driving axle 54, the vertical portion 51 of the lifting mechanism 50 has a gear wheel or a gear structure 59 engaged with the gear wheel 55; as a result, when the motor driving axle 54 drives the gear wheel 55 to rotate, the horizontal portion 52 may relatively drive the motor 34, the rotator 30 and the shaping mold 40 into a movement along an axle direction, thereby causing rising and lowering movements, as shown in FIG. 2.

FIG. 1 also illustrates the rotator 30 with a fixing portion 32 that is pivotally connected to the shaping mold 40 such that the shaping mold 40 is generally surrounded around the rotary pot 20; the shaping mold 40 includes a rigid wall 41 and an inner chamber 42 defined by the rigid wall 41; rigid wall 41 has an inner surface 43 defining the inner chamber 42 into a preset geometric shape. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the shaping mold 40 tends to be selected from transparent materials such as glass, plastic or from non-transparent material such as metal; additionally, the shaping mold 40 has symmetrical flange 44 and tenon hole 45 so as to be detached freely and be disposed on the fixing portion 32 of the material feeding device 30. In another embodiment, the symmetrical shape of the shaping mold 40 can also be achieved by utilizing engaging device or the like.

Refer to FIG. 2. When sugar material is fed into the rotary pot 20 through the material feeding tube 33 of the rotator 30, sugar material is melted by heat through the fast speed rotation in the rotary pot 20 and dissolved into liquid form, as known in the prior art, sugar material is distributed out of the rotary pot 20 from the holes 22 on the rotary pot 20 by the centrifugal force; when sugar material in liquid form contacts cold air outside the shaping mold chamber 42 of the rotary pot 20, it is formed into a thread-shape or fiber-like cotton candy χ, attaching on the inner surface 43 of the rigid wall of the shaping mold 40 in rotating motion.

It is understood that the rotating direction that the motor 34 drives the rotator 30, shaping mold 40 via the worm 36 is the same or opposite of the rotating direction that the motor 11 drives the rotary pot 20 to rotate. Meanwhile, at this stage, the motor driving axle 54 of the lifting mechanism 50 rises and lowers the material feeding device 30 and the shaping mold 40 in an axle direction through the gear wheel 55 driving the gear wheel or the gear structure 59 on the vertical portion 51, thereby allowing the thread-shape or fiber-like cotton candy χ to uniformly and closely attached to the shaping mold chamber 42 forming a congregation with medium to high density, as shown in FIG. 3.

Refer to FIG. 4. When the shaping mold 40 finish molding the thread-shape or fiber-like cotton candy χ, the lifting mechanism 50 relatively moves the shaping mold 40 to the top of the figure by the motor 53 driving the gear wheel or gear structure 59 on the vertical portion 51, thereby allowing a user to open the shaping mold 40 and take out the finishing product of the cotton candy χ. Therefore, in the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the inner surface 43 of the rigid wall of the shaping mold 40 may define different chamber 42 shapes, as the chamber 42 shown in FIG. 5, allowing the consumer to select different molding shapes for the cotton candy χ.
