Claims
- 1. An insulative cover piece for a trap pipe of a P-trap drain pipe assembly comprising two vertical sections extending generally parallel to one another and curved section connecting the vertical sections to form a continuous cover piece, at least one of said vertical sections having a terminal end for forming an overlap with an adjacent cover piece, the overlap when formed being in substantial contact with the drain pipe assembly when applied thereto for forming a substantially gap free fit, each section of the cover piece being free of slits and openings along a substantial portion of its length to provide a generally continuous cover piece to completely cover said trap pipe and reduce dirt and contaminants from being trapped on said cover piece and trap pipe.
- 2. An insulative cover piece as in claim 1 wherein each of the sections of said cover piece is completely free of slits and openings along its length to provide a completely continuous cover piece which prevents dirt and other contaminants from being trapped on said cover piece and trap pipe.
- 3. An insulative cover piece as in claim 1 wherein said at least one of the vertical sections includes a flexible portion which is rearwardly foldable along said trap pipe so that the pipe may be joined to other pipes of a P-trap assembly at a juncture and then forwardly foldable to cover the juncture said flexible portion including said terminal end.
- 4. An insulative cover as in claim 1 wherein said at least one of the vertical sections includes a collar structure proximate an end of said section to cover a pipe juncture when said trap pipe is attached to said P-trap assembly.
- 5. A pipe section for an undersink drain assembly having opposite ends and at least one of a curved and an elongated section extending between said ends, an insulative cover extending over the pipe section between the ends to cover the at least one curved and elongated section, said insulative cover including a terminal end for forming an overlap with an adjacent cover the overlap when formed being in substantial contact with the drain assembly when applied thereto for forming a substantially gap free fit, said insulative cover being free from slits and openings along a substantial portion of its length to generally completely cover the pipe section and reduce dirt and contaminants from being trapped by the insulative cover and pipe section.
