The disclosure and prior art relates to containers and more particularly pertains to a new container for storing marinade for clean, easy application.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a container body defining a container inside and having an open top side. The container body has a lip extending from an outer perimeter of the open top side. A lid is coupled to the container body and has a rim extending down from an outer perimeter of a lid underside. The rim is selectively engageable with the lip of the container body to seal and alternatively unseal the container inside. The lid comprises a front flap and a back flap coupled to a hinge extending along a diameter of a lid top side. The front flap is independently disengageable from the lip while maintaining the back flap engaged with the lip. The front flap has a brush aperture extending from the lid top side through the lid underside. A sleeve is coupled to the lid within the brush aperture. A brush comprising a handle and a plurality of bristles is slidably engageable within the sleeve.

In another embodiment, the invention comprises a container body defining a container inside and having an open top side. The container body has a lip extending from an outer perimeter of the open top side. At least one divider wall is coupled to the container body to divide the container inside into at least two even compartments. A lid is coupled to the container body and has a rim extending down from an outer perimeter of a lid underside. The rim is selectively engageable with the lip of the container body to seal and alternatively unseal the container inside. The lid comprises at least two flaps coupled to a hinge extending along a lid top side and corresponding to the divider walls. Each flap is independently disengageable from the lip while maintaining the other flaps engaged with the lip to expose each compartment. Each flap has a brush aperture extending from the lid top side through the lid underside. A plurality of sleeves is coupled to the lid within the brush aperture of each flap. A plurality of brushes each comprises a handle and a plurality of bristles. The brushes are slidably engageable within the sleeves.

There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.

The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING(S)

The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:

FIG. 1 is an isometric view of a covered marinade container apparatus according to an embodiment of the disclosure.

FIG. 2 is an isometric view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

FIG. 3 is an isometric view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

FIG. 4 is a cross section view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

FIG. 5 is an isometric view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

FIG. 6 is an isometric view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new container embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 6, the covered marinade container apparatus 10 generally comprises a container body 12 defining a container inside 14 and having an open top side 16. The container body 12 has a lip 17 extending from an outer perimeter of the open top side 16. A container handle 18 is coupled to a sidewall 20 of the container body 12. At least one divider wall 22 may be coupled to the container body 12 to divide the container inside 14 into at least two even compartments 23. A lid 24 is coupled to the container body 12 and has a rim 26 extending down from an outer perimeter of a lid underside 25. The rim 26 is selectively engageable with the lip 17 of the container body 12 to seal and alternatively unseal the container inside 14. The lid 24 comprises at least two flaps 28. The flaps 28 are coupled to a hinge 30 extending along a lid top side 32 and correspond to the divider walls 22. With no divider wall 22 present there are two flaps 28, a front flap 29 and a back flap 31. Each flap 28 is independently disengageable from the lip 17 while maintaining the other flaps 28 engaged with the lip 17 to only uncover one compartment 23. Each flap 28 has a brush aperture 34 extending from the lid top side 32 through the lid underside 25, unless no divider wall 22 is present in which case only the front flap 29 has a brush aperture 34. The brush aperture 34 is capsule-shaped. A plurality of sleeves 36 is coupled to the lid 24 within the brush aperture 34 of each flap 28. Each sleeve 36 has a sleeve flange 38 coupled adjacent the lid top side 32 and extends past the lid underside 25. The sleeve flange 38 prevents the sleeve 36 from being pushed through the brush aperture 34. A plurality of brushes 40 each comprises a brush handle 42 and a plurality of bristles 44. The brush handle 42 of each brush has a tapered top end 46 and a flared bristle end 48. The brushes 40 are slidably engageable within the sleeves 36. Each sleeve 36 may be semi-flexible to create a tight seal around the brush handle 42.

In use, the flaps 28 can be individually opened to add marinades that are sealed off from other marinades by the divider walls 22. The plurality of sleeves 36 create a tight seal around the plurality of brushes 40. The plurality of brushes 40 allows the user to independently apply the marinades without exposing the compartments 23.

With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
