The present invention relates to bed sheets, and more particularly, to bed sheets that keep a person's legs and/or feet warm.
When a person sleeps in his or her bed, for example, the bed, and in particular, the bed sheets on the bed, may be cold for various reasons. For example, the bed sheets may be cold due to air conditioning in the room, the outside temperature and humidity, etc. This may be uncomfortable for the person when he or she is trying to sleep.
Thus, an alternative bed sheet that allows a person to stay warm may be beneficial.
Certain embodiments of the present invention may provide solutions to the problems and needs in the art that have not yet been fully identified, appreciated, or solved by current fabric technologies. For example, some embodiments generally pertain to a set of bed sheets that may include a warming section to warm legs and/or feet of a person sleeping in his or her bed.
In an embodiment, bedding includes a bed sheet. The bed sheet includes a first side and a second side. Sewn onto the first side and/or the second side of the bed sheet is a warming section. The warming section encompasses a portion of the first side and/or the second side of the bed sheet to keep a person's legs or feet warm.
In order that the advantages of certain embodiments of the invention will be readily understood, a more particular description of the invention briefly described above will be rendered by reference to specific embodiments that are illustrated in the appended drawings. While it should be understood that these drawings depict only typical embodiments of the invention and are not therefore to be considered to be limiting of its scope, the invention will be described and explained with additional specificity and detail through the use of the accompanying drawings, in which:
Some embodiments of the present invention generally pertain to a set of bed sheets that maintain warmth using a warming section. The warming section may be made of plush microfibers fabric configured to generate and maintain warmth to a person's legs and/or feet.
In some embodiments, lower section 115 and upper section 125 may form a pocket to warm a person's legs and/or feet. In
In some embodiments, both sides of flat sheet 100 and both sides of fitted sheet 115 may include warming sections. This way, regardless of which side is on the bed, a person's legs and/or feet are surrounded by the warming sections, creating warmth. In other embodiments, one of the two sides of flat sheet 100 and fitted sheet 115 may include the warming sections. This way, a person can avoid excessive warmth by having one of the warming sections touching his or her legs and/or feet.
In certain embodiments, only the flat sheet may include a warming section (or pocket) allowing a person to insert his or her feet. In other embodiments, only the fitted sheet may include a warming section (or pocket) allowing the person to insert his or her feet. To form a pocket, two short sides of the warming section and one of the long sides of the warming section are sewn onto the fitted sheet and/or onto the flat sheet in some embodiments. See, for example,
To avoid excessive warmth, fitted sheet 210 may include the warming section (or lower section 220) while flat sheet 200 may not include a warming section, or visa-versa. Because only one of the two sheets have a warming section in some embodiments, excessive warmth may be avoided. In environments, such as winter climates, it may be beneficial for both sheets to include a warming section.
Regardless of whether the warming section is a pocket itself, or a pocket formed by the set of bed sheets, the dimensions of the pocket in either embodiment may vary depending on the size of the bed without the warming section. For example, a king bed may include a larger warming section than a warming section of a queen bed or twin bed.
In some embodiments, stitching on the flat sheet and the fitted sheet allows a person to flip the warming section of the flat sheet and fitted sheet, such that the person may use the desired side of the flat sheet and fitted sheet. This way, if the person does not want to use the warming section of the flat sheet and fitted sheet, then the person need not do so. In some embodiments, either side of the flat sheet and fitted sheet may include the warming section.
Simply stated, some embodiments generally pertain to a set of bed sheets that includes a warming section to keep a person's legs and/or feet warm. This way, the person may avoid wearing socks, pajama pants, and/or other lower body clothing while sleeping at night.
It will be readily understood that the components of various embodiments of the present invention, as generally described and illustrated in the figures herein, may be arranged and designed in a wide variety of different configurations. Thus, the detailed description of the embodiments, as represented in the attached figures, is not intended to limit the scope of the invention as claimed, but is merely representative of selected embodiments of the invention.
The features, structures, or characteristics of the invention described throughout this specification may be combined in any suitable manner in one or more embodiments. For example, reference throughout this specification to “certain embodiments,” “some embodiments,” or similar language means that a particular feature, structure, or characteristic described in connection with the embodiment is included in at least one embodiment of the present invention. Thus, appearances of the phrases “in certain embodiments,” “in some embodiment,” “in other embodiments,” or similar language throughout this specification do not necessarily all refer to the same group of embodiments and the described features, structures, or characteristics may be combined in any suitable manner in one or more embodiments.
It should be noted that reference throughout this specification to features, advantages, or similar language does not imply that all of the features and advantages that may be realized with the present invention should be or are in any single embodiment of the invention. Rather, language referring to the features and advantages is understood to mean that a specific feature, advantage, or characteristic described in connection with an embodiment is included in at least one embodiment of the present invention. Thus, discussion of the features and advantages, and similar language, throughout this specification may, but do not necessarily, refer to the same embodiment.
Furthermore, the described features, advantages, and characteristics of the invention may be combined in any suitable manner in one or more embodiments. One skilled in the relevant art will recognize that the invention can be practiced without one or more of the specific features or advantages of a particular embodiment. In other instances, additional features and advantages may be recognized in certain embodiments that may not be present in all embodiments of the invention.
One having ordinary skill in the art will readily understand that the invention as discussed above may be practiced with steps in a different order, and/or with hardware elements in configurations which are different than those which are disclosed. Therefore, although the invention has been described based upon these preferred embodiments, it would be apparent to those of skill in the art that certain modifications, variations, and alternative constructions would be apparent, while remaining within the spirit and scope of the invention. In order to determine the metes and bounds of the invention, therefore, reference should be made to the appended claims.
