Claims
- 1. A pharmaceutical composition essentially comprising a complex herbal extract of Chaenomelis Fructus, Achyranthis Radix, Acanthopanax, Phlomidis Radix, Gentianae Radix, Clematidis Radix and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier thereof as an active ingredient for treating and preventing arthritic diseases.
- 2. The pharmaceutical composition according to claim 1, which further comprise the extract of complex herb selected from the group consisting of Angelicae Radix, Cnidii Rhizoma, Gastrodiae Rhizoma, Safflower, Cinnamomi Cortex, Job's tear, Aurantii nobilis Pericapium, Ledebouriellae Radix, Lonicera japonica, Akebiae caulis, Caragana chamlagu, Licorice root, Notopterygium incisum, Persicae semen, Eucommia ulmoides, Atractylodes Rhizoma, Torilis japonica and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier thereof as an active ingredient for preventing and treating arthritic diseases.
- 3. The pharmaceutical composition according to claim 1, wherein said pharmaceutical composition comprising Chaenomelis Fructus, Achyranthis Radix, Acanthopanax, Phlomidis Radix, Gentianae Radix and Clematidis Radix is a ratio of 1:0.5˜2:0.5˜2:0.5˜2:0.5˜2:0.5˜2.
- 4. The pharmaceutical composition according to claim 1 or 2, wherein said arthritic disease is acute, chronic rheumatoid, atrophic arthritis, chronic inflammatory arthritis, arthritis deformans, infectious arthritis, menopausal arthritis, arthritis mutilans, hypertrophic arthritis, suppurative arthritis, tuberculos arthritis or degenerative arthritis.
- 5. The pharmaceutical composition according to claim 1 or 2, wherein said extract is contained about 0.01 to 95 w/w % based on the total weight of the composition.
- 6. The pharmaceutical composition according to claim 1 or 2, wherein said pharmaceutical composition is provided in an acceptable carrier as powder, granule, tablet, capsule, aqueous medicine or injection.
- 7. A method for preparing the pharmaceutical composition according to claim 1 or 2, comprising the steps of: herbs are washed, dried and cut into small pieces; the each pieces is mixed with the ratio (w/w) of 1:1:1:0.5˜2:0.5˜2:0.5˜2, otherwise, additional herbs can be commixed at the stage; the herbs are mixed with 5 to 20-fold volume of distilled water, alcohols such as methanol, ethanol and the like, or the mixtures thereof, and is enfleuraged at the temperature ranging from 0 to room temperature for the period ranging from 12 hours to 5 months or heated 2 to 5 times at the temperature from 80 to 100° C., for the period ranging from 1 to 24 hours, by sonication, reflux or conventional extraction to obtain an aqueous complex herbal extract; the herbal extract is filtered and concentrated at 40 to 80° C. under reduced pressure; the extract is concentrated by azotropic distillation with volume of 10 to 60-fold water, 1 to 5 times and then dried by freeze drying or vacuum drying to obtain an complex herbal extract powder.
- 8. The method of preparation according to claim 7, wherein said extract solvent is distilled water.
- 9. The method of preparation according to claim 7, wherein said extract solvent is ethanol and water mixture having a ratio of 10˜50%.
- 10. The method of preparation according to claim 7, wherein said preparation is enfleuraged at 4˜10° C.
- 11. The method of preparation according to claim 7, wherein said preparation is enfleuraged for 1˜3 months.
- 12. The method of preparation according to claim 7, wherein said preparation is refluxed at above 90° C.
- 13. The method of preparation according to claim 7, wherein said preparation is refluxed for 3˜5 hours.
- 14. The method of preparation according to claim 7, wherein said preparation is concentrated at 50˜70° C. under reduced pressure.
- 15. The method of preparation according to claim 7, wherein said preparation is concentrated 1 to 5 times by azotropic distillation with volume of 10 to 50-fold water.
- 16. The method of preparation according to claim 7, wherein said preparation is freeze-dried to obtain power extract.
- 17. An antiphlogistic and analgesic drug comprising the complex herbal composition as set forth in claim 1 or 2 as an active ingredient in an amount effective to preventing and treating arthritic diseases.
- 18. A method of preventing or treating of arthritic diseases in a mammal comprising administering to said mammal an effective amount of a complex herbal composition as set forth in claim 1 or 2 and pharmaceutically acceptable carrier thereof.
- 19. A health food essentially comprising a complex herbal extract of Chaenomelis Fructus, Achyranthis Radix, Acanthopanax, Phlomidis Radix, Gentianae Radix and Clematidis Radix and a sitologically acceptable additive to prevent arthritic diseases.
- 20. The health food according to claim 19, which further comprise the extract of complex herb selected from the group consisting of Angelicae Radix, Cnidii Rhizoma, Gastrodiae Rhizoma, Safflower, Cinnamomi Cortex, Job's tear, Aurantii nobilis Pericapium, Ledebouriellae Radix, Lonicera japonica, Akebiae caulis, Caragana chamlagu, Licorice root, Notopterygium incisum, Persicae semen, Eucommia ulmoides, Atractylodes Rhizoma, Torilis japonica and a sitologically additive to prevent arthritic diseases.
- 21. The health food according to claim 19 or 20, wherein said health food is provided as powder, granule, tablet, capsule or beverage type.
- 22. The health food according to claim 19 or 20, wherein said extract is contained about 0.01 to 95 w/w % based on the total weight of the composition.
- 23. A feed essentially comprising a complex herbal extract of Chaenomelis Fructus, Achyranthis Radix, Acanthopanax, Phlomidis Radix, Gentianae Radix and Clematidis Radix as an active ingredient for the livestock, to prevent arthritic diseases.
- 24. The feed according to claim 23, which further comprise the extract of complex herb selected from the group consisting of Angelicae radix, Cnidii Rhizoma, Gastrodiae Rhizoma, Safflower, Cinnamomi Cortex, Job's tear, Aurantii nobilis Pericapium, Ledebouriellae Radix, Lonicera japonica, Akebiae caulis, Caragana chamlagu, Licorice root, Notopterygium incisum, Persicae semen, Eucommia ulmoides, Atractylodes Rhizoma, Torilis japonica as an active ingredient for the livestock, to prevent arthritic diseases.
- 25. The feed according to claim 23 or 24, wherein said extract is contained about 0.01 to 95 w/w % based on the total weight of the composition.
