Claims
  • 1. A cup attaching apparatus for attaching a cup to an eyeglass lens, comprising: a lens mount on which the lens is to be mounted;at least three support pins provided on the lens mount to support the lens when a rear refractive surface of the lens is brought in contact with the support pins; anda first moving mechanism adapted to simultaneously move the support pins to change a distance of each support pin from a central axis for attachment of the cup.
  • 2. The cup attaching apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the support pins are provided on the lens mount in positions spaced at equal intervals and at equal angles with respect to the attachment central axis, andthe first moving mechanism causes the support pins to move so that the distance of each support pin from the attachment central axis is constantly equal.
  • 3. The cup attaching apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a mode selector for selecting between a first mode of attaching the cup to an unprocessed lens and a second mode of attaching the cup to a processed lens; wherein, when the second mode is selected, the first moving mechanism causes the support pins to move so that the distance of each support pin from the attachment central axis is shorter than that in the first mode.
  • 4. The cup attaching apparatus according to claim 3, further comprising: a holding unit adapted to hold the support pins so that a supporting plane defined by the support pins is inclineable; anda unit adapted to permit the holding unit to incline when the first mode is selected and inhibit the holding unit from inclining so that the supporting plane is substantially horizontal when the second mode is selected.
  • 5. The cup attaching apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising: a lens table;an imaging unit for capturing an image of the lens mounted on the lens table;an arithmetic part adapted to obtain an outer shape of the lens by performing image-processing on the captured image; anda mode selector for selecting a third mode of obtaining the outer shape of the lens;wherein, when the third mode is selected, the first moving mechanism causes each support pin to move to a standby position outside the lens table.
  • 6. The cup attaching apparatus according to claim 5, wherein the mode selector is arranged to perform selection between a first mode of attaching the cup to an unprocessed lens and a second mode of attaching the cup to a processed lens, andthe first moving mechanism causes each support pin to move to as first support position closer to the attachment central axis than the standby position when the first mode is selected and to a second support position closer to the attachment central axis than the first support position when the second mode is selected.
  • 7. The cup attaching apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising: a lens clamp for clamping the lens in cooperation with the lens mount when the lens is mounted on the lens mount;at least three presser pins provided on the lens clamp to clamp the lens when a front refractive surface of the lens is brought in contact with the presser pins; anda second moving mechanism adapted to simultaneously move the presser pins to change a distance of each presser pin from the attachment central axis.
  • 8. The cup attaching apparatus according to claim 7, wherein the presser pins are provided on the lens clamp in positions spaced at equal intervals and at equal angles with respect to the attachment central axis, andthe second moving mechanism causes the presser pins to move so that the distance of each presser pin from the attachment central axis is constantly equal.
  • 9. The cup attaching apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising: a lens clamp for clamping the lens in cooperation with the lens mount when the lens is mounted on the lens mount;at least three presser pins provided on the lens clamp to clamp the lens when a front refractive surface of the lens is brought in contact with the presser pins; anda third moving mechanism adapted to move the lens clamp in a direction that approaches the lens mount to clamp the lens; anda mode selector for selecting between a first mode of attaching the cup to au unprocessed lens and a second mode of attaching the cup to a processed lens; andwherein the third moving mechanism causes the lens clamp to move to clamp the lens when the first mode is selected and does not cause the lens clamp to move when the second mode is selected.
