1. Field of the Invention
This invention relates to a cup lid, particularly to one composed of a lid body, a control member, a slide plate, a combining block and a swing rod. The cup lid of this invention can tightly be combined with a cup, able to prevent liquid in the cup from flowing out, and it is needless to disengage the lid from the cup when a user is to drink the liquid in the cup.
2. Description of the Prior Art
Generally, a cup (a bottle or a container) has a lid to be covered thereon for preventing dust or impurities from dropping in the interior of the cup. Substantially, different materials and covering ways between a cup and its lid may result in different covering effects. For instance, the lid of a pottery or porcelain cup is only placed on the cup so it is likely to be carelessly bumped to drop down and may make the liquid in the cup splash out, inapplicable to be carried out for use. Although a cup and its lid tightly engaged with each other or threadably combined together can be carried out for use, yet if a user wishing to drink the liquid in the cup disengages or unscrews the lid from the cup improperly, the liquid in the cup may be splashed out, resulting in inconvenience in use.
The objective of this invention is to offer a cup lid able to be tightly combined with a cup for preventing liquid in the cup from flowing out and needless to be opened when a user is to drink the liquid in the cup.
The cup lid in the present invention includes a lid body having its underside provided with a combining member to be combined with a cup and is provided with an insert hole, a slide slot and a liquid outlet. A control member to be assembled on the lid body has its underside secured with a fitting block protruding downward to be inserted through the insert hole of the lid body, having one curved side disposed with a serrated engage edge and another side fixed with a pull grip having its underside provided with a projecting grain to be engaged in the slide slot of the lid body. A slide plate to be covered on the lid body has its underside provided with a recess having one inner sidewall secured with a serrated engage member to be engaged with the serrated engage edge of the control member, having one end disposed with a cover plate to be covered on the liquid outlet of the lid body. A combining block to be fitted at the underside of the control member has its topside bored with a fitting slot to be fitted with the fitting block of the control member and its lower opposite sidewalls respectively bored with an arcuate groove mutually reversely extended. A swing rod to be pivotally assembled at the underside of the lid body has one side disposed with a fitting member having its opposite inner walls respectively fixed with an engage block to be respectively engaged in the two arcuate grooves of the combining block, and another side secured with a stop member for blocking up the underside of the liquid outlet of the lid body.
This invention will be better understood by referring to the accompanying drawings, wherein:
A preferred embodiment of a cup lid in the present invention, as shown in
The lid body 1 has its underside provided with a combining member 10 to be combined with a cup and its topside disposed with a recessed surface 11 having one side bored with an insert hole 12 having its outer edge bored with a crescent slide slot 13 with an air hole 130 at one end. The recessed surface 11 has an outer side opposite to the insert hole 12 provided with a liquid outlet 14, and the lid body 1 has its underside fixed in the center with two pivot lugs 15 respectively bored with a pivot hole 150.
The control member 2 to be assembled on the recessed surface 11 of the lid body 1 has its underside secured with a fitting block 20 protruding downward to be inserted through the insert hole 12 of the lid body 1, having one curved side provided with a serrated engage edge 21 and another side formed with a pull grip 22 extending outward and having its underside fixed with a projecting grain 23 to be engaged in the slide slot 13 of the lid body 1.
The slide plate 3 to be covered on the recessed surface 11 of the lid body 1 has its underside disposed with a recess 30 having one inner sidewall fixed with a serrated engage member 300 to be engaged with the serrated engage edge 21 of the control member 2. The slide plate 3 further has an outer side set a cover plate 31 to be covered on the liquid outlet 14 of the lid body 1.
The combining block 4 to be fitted under the control member 2 has its topside bored with a fitting slot 40 to be engaged with the fitting block 20 of the control member 2, and the opposite sides of its lower sidewall respectively bored with an arcuate groove 41 reverse in direction.
The swing rod 5 to be assembled at the underside of the lid body 1 is provided with a pivot 50 to be pivotally fitted with the two pivot lugs 15 at the underside of the lid body 1 and has one side disposed with a similarly U-shaped fitting member 51 having its opposite inner walls respectively secured thereon with a projecting block 510 to be inserted in the arcuate groove 41 in the lower sidewall of the combining block 4. Further, the swing rod 5 is fixed with a stop member 52 at one side opposite to the fitting member 51 for blocking up the underside of the liquid outlet 14 of the lid body 1.
In assembling, referring to
Referring to
On the contrary, to prevent the drink from flowing out of the cup, simply turn the pull grip 22 of the control member 2 clockwise to let the serrated engage edge 21 actuate the cover plate 31 of the slide plate 3 to move forward and be covered on the liquid outlet 14 of the lid body 1 and also let the projecting grain 23 of the control member 2 engaged in the air hole 130 of the slide slot 13 of the lid body 1. Simultaneously, the combining block 4 will be actuated by the control member 2 to turn and have its arcuate grooves 41 actuating and guiding the fitting member 51 of the swing rod 5 to move downward, and meanwhile the stop member 52 at another end of the swing rod 5 will be relatively moved upward to block up the underside of the liquid outlet 14 of the lid body 1 for stopping the drink in the cup from flowing out.
By so designing, the cup lid of this invention can be tightly combined with the cup (A) and able to prevent the liquid in the cup from flowing out. In addition, when a user is to drink the liquid in the cup, the user does not need to disengage the lid from the cup, convenient in use.
While the preferred embodiment of the invention has been described above, it will be recognized and understood that various modifications may be made therein and the appended claims are intended to cover all such modifications that may fall within the spirit and scope of the invention.
