A cup apparatus with a fold-down lid attached to the body of the cup can be used with respect to beverages, food, and other types of contents. The cup design can be utilized in disposable cup embodiments as well as in non-disposable cup embodiments. The movable parts of the cup include a lid, a tab attached the lid with the tab covering an opening in the lid, and a plate used to facilitate the movement of the lid.
