The invention relates to a cup, more particularly to a cup capable of presenting different flavors of a beverage when drinking the beverage.
Cups are containers used for drinking various beverages. For a long time, cups have only been used to hold liquids for drinking, have no other special functions, and have no effect in changing or promoting flavors of beverages.
The inventor believes that if a flavor of a beverage can be changed through a cup when drinking the beverage, the pleasure and experience of drinking the beverage will be greatly enhanced. One object of the invention is to provide a cup that has a function of changing a flavor of a beverage.
Another object of the invention is to provide a cup that enables drinkers to feel and taste different flavors of a beverage when drinking the beverage from different positions of the cup.
Yet another object of the invention is to provide a cup capable of experiencing different flavors, drinking a beverage from the cup from a 360-degree position is capable of providing different degrees of flavors.
One embodiment of the invention provides a cup, the cup has a cup body and a cup opening, the cup opening has a cup rim; wherein:
Thereby, the cup provides two everted angles at the front and rear cup rims. When drinking a beverage from the front cup rim or the rear cup rim, the beverage is capable of entering at different angles and entering an oral cavity and contacting with a tongue at different positions, taste buds at different positions are capable of experiencing different flavors of the beverage, and therefore the cup is capable of providing a function of changing a taste of the beverage.
Preferably, the left area cup rim also has an everted angle, an everted angle of the left area cup rim changes progressively, an everted angle progressively decreases from the front side toward the rear side of the cup opening; the right area cup rim also has an everted angle, an everted angle changes progressively, progressively decreasing from the front side toward the rear side of the cup opening. Thereby, when drinking a beverage from the cup rim of the cup at a 360-degree position, the beverage is capable of entering an oral cavity and contacting with a tongue at different positions, presenting diverse and rich tastes and flavors.

Preferably, the rear cup rim of the cup opening has a rear everted angle, and the rear everted angle is a smallest everted angle of the cup opening. Thereby, when drinking from the rear side of the cup, a beverage enters a frontmost part of an oral cavity and a tip of a tongue.
Preferably, the front everted angle is a largest everted angle; angle values of the at least one left area everted angle and the at least one right area everted angle are between the angle values of the front everted angle and the rear everted angle. Thereby, the cup rim of the cup opening has different everted angles at different positions.
Preferably, the left area of the cup opening comprises: a left front side, a left side and a left rear side of the cup opening; the right area of the cup opening comprises: a right front side, a right side and a right rear side of the cup opening; the at least one left area everted angle comprises any one of or all of everted angles formed by the cup rim at the left front side, the left side and the left rear side; the at least one right area everted angle comprises any one of or all of everted angles formed by the cup rim at the right front side, the right side and the right rear side.

Thereby, when drinking a beverage, flowing of the beverage in the cup can be facilitated, and the beverage can be collided in the cup to make the beverage well mixed and provide flavors of the beverage.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the cup rim 30 of the cup opening 20 is made into an everted cup rim, that is, the cup rim 30 extends outwardly rather than inwardly, and the cup rim 30 has different everted angles at different positions.

The invention aims to provide a cup that can be used to taste coffee, wine, tea or other beverages, and can taste different flavors of beverages being drunk. The cup can be used to taste various types of coffee, various types of wine and tea, such as coffee, wine and tea of different varieties and origins, including white wine, whiskey, red wine, sorghum wine and other wine and spirits, as well as black tea, green tea, oolong tea, etc. In the invention, the cup 10 is designed with the asymmetrical cup opening 20, drinking beverages from the cup rim 30 of the cup 10 at different positions is capable of enhancing different flavors of a same beverage.
When a user drinks a beverage from the cup rim 31 on the front side 21, since the cup rim 31 has the largest everted angle θ1 and the longest extending length, the beverage can go deeper into an oral cavity due to an entering angle, and the beverage is tasted through taste buds on a back side of a tongue. When the user drinks a beverage from the cup rim 32 on the rear side 22, since the cup rim 32 has the smallest everted angle θ2 and the shortest extending length, the beverage can enter an oral cavity from an opening of the oral cavity, and the beverage is tasted through taste buds on a front side of a tongue. Different tastes are felt through taste buds at different positions of a tongue. When the user drinks a beverage from the front side 21 and the rear side 22 of the cup 10, taste buds at different positions will feel the beverage, thereby enabling the drinker to experience different flavors of a same beverage. Similarly, when drinking a beverage from the cup rim of the left area A or the cup rim of the right area B, the beverage enters different positions of an oral cavity at different angles through the different everted angles and the different extending lengths of the cup rims, and the beverage is tasted by taste buds at different positions on a tip of a tongue, a bottom of a tongue, and two sides of a tongue. Therefore, a drinker who enjoys a same cup of beverage from the cup rims at different positions from a 360-degree position will experience different flavors without adding other condiments to change flavor and taste of a beverage.
For example, when a drinker uses the cup 10 to enjoy a hand-brewed coffee, and drinks the coffee from the cup rim 30 at a position of an everted angle of 40 degrees, floral, fruity and sour flavors of the coffee will be emphasized and felt, while drinking the coffee from the cup rim at a position of an everted angle of 9 degrees, nutty, cocoa and caramel flavors will be emphasized, as if a drinker is drinking different types of coffee with different flavors.
By designing the cup rim 30 of the cup 10 with the unique everted angles, the invention enables experiencing differences of unique flavors of various beverages such as coffee, tea, wine. When drinking from the cup rim 30 with a larger everted angle, a drinker can experience a bright flavor of a beverage; when drinking from the cup rim 30 with a smaller everted angle, a drinker can experience a thicker and richer flavor of a beverage. The cup 10 with a design of the large and small progressive everted angles enables tasting different levels of unique flavors of various beverages from a 360-degree position of the cup rim 30.
Experiments carried out on subjects have shown that the cup 10 of the invention is capable of producing different taste sensations when drinking beverages from the cup rim 30 at different positions and different everted angles, thereby improving the pleasure and enjoyment of drinking.
When drinking a beverage, the spiral sheets 16 of the cup body 15 are capable of guiding the flow of the beverage, and allows the beverage to collide in the cup to mix the beverage evenly and increase its fluidity. For example, the cup body 15 with a spiral peripheral surface has a function of shaking coffee to make a hand-brewed coffee well-mixed, and also capable of increasing a flow speed of red wine to make the red wine contact with the air.
It can be understood that the cup opening has different positions of the front side, the rear side, the left side, the right side, the left front side, the left rear side, the right front side and the right rear side. in practice, the cup opening can have the everted cup rims at at least two of the above-mentioned different positions, and the cup opening forms at least two of the different everted angles at the cup rim 30 at the at least two different positions. The at least two different positions are any combinations of the above-mentioned different positions, including: the front side and the rear side, the front side and the left side, the front side and the right side, the front side and the left front side, the front side and the left rear side, the front side and the right front side, the front side and the right rear side, the rear side and the left side, the rear side and the right side, the rear side and the left front side, the rear side and left rear side, the rear side and the right front side, the rear side and the right rear side, the left side and the right side, the left side and the right front side, the left side and the right rear side, the left side and the left front side, the left side and the left rear side, the right side and the left front side, the right side and the left rear side, the right side and the right front side, the right side and the right rear side. Similarly, the cup opening can be provided with the everted cup rims at at least three or at least four of the above-mentioned different positions, and the cup rim of the cup opening forms at least two, at least three or at least four of the different everted angles. At least three or at least four of the different positions are any combinations of the above-mentioned different positions.
The cup rim of the cup can be made of different thicknesses, for example, the cup rim on the front side is thicker and the cup rim on the rear side is thinner, or the cup rim on the rear side is thicker and the cup rim on the front side is thinner. Thereby, when a beverage in the cup flows into an oral cavity from the cup rim with different thicknesses at different positions, different temperature changes can be provided, resulting in changes in flavor.
