Abstract
A current collector includes a first principal plane and a second principal plane. In the current collector, the roughness of the first principal plane and second principal plane being mutually different.

Claims
  • 1. A current collector, comprising: a first principal plane anda second principal plane,with roughness of the first principal plane and second principal plane being mutually different.
  • 2. An current collector according to claim 1, wherein the first principal plane includes higher roughness than the second principal plane.
  • 3. A current collector according to claim 1, wherein the first principal plane includes higher roughness than the second principal plane, andthe arithmetic mean roughness of the first principal plane is 0.2 μm or more.
  • 4. A negative electrode, comprising: a current collector having a first principal plane and a second principal plane,with roughness of the first principal plane and the second principal plane being mutually different.
  • 5. A negative electrode according to claim 4, wherein the first principal plane of the current collector includes higher roughness than the second principal plane.
  • 6. A negative electrode according to claim 4, wherein the first principal plane includes higher roughness than the second principal plane, andthe arithmetic mean roughness of the first principal plane is 0.2 μm or more.
  • 7. A battery having a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolyte, comprising: a current collector having a first principal plane anda second principal plane,with roughness of the first principal plane and the second principal plane being mutually different.
  • 8. A battery according to claim 7, wherein the first principal plane of the negative current collector includes higher roughness than the second principal plane, andat least an active material layer is formed on the first principal plane.
  • 9. A battery according to claim 1, wherein the first principal plane of the negative current collector includes higher roughness than the second principal plane, andthe arithmetic mean roughness of the first principal plane is 0.2 μm or more.
  • 10. A battery according to claim 7, wherein an active material layer formed on the negative electrode current collector includes the first principal plane and second principal plane;with one of the first principal plane and second principal plane having a thickness of 80 μm or more at full discharge.
  • 11. A battery according to claim 7, wherein an active material layer formed on the negative electrode current collector exhibits the volume change of 10% or more at full charge and full discharge.
  • 12. A battery according to claim 7, wherein an active material layer formed on the negative electrode current collector includes tin (Sn), silicon (Si), or metal lithium (Li).
  • 13. A battery according to claim 7, wherein the positive electrode and the negative electrode form a winding body.
  • 14. A battery according to claim 7, wherein the positive electrode and the negative electrode form a winding body,the first principal plane of the negative current collector includes higher roughness than the second principal plane, andthe second principal plane corresponds to an inner face of the winding body.
  • 15. A battery according to claim 7, wherein at least part of the negative electrode active material layer is alloyed with the negative current collector.
