- 16. The computer readable medium of claim 14 wherein the characteristic of the lung nodule of the patient comprises a size, volume, surface area, roundness, density and standard deviation, major and minor axes of the nodule., number of lung nodules, total volume of lung nodules, and location of nodule.
- 17. A method of creating a customized lung report, the method comprising:
accessing a lung nodule database; running a patient's lung nodule information through a decision tree that compares information from the lung nodule database with the corresponding patient's lung nodule information; and using the decision tree to produce a customized lung report.
- 18. The method of claim 17 wherein producing comprises displaying a chart or graph or text that illustrates the patient's lung nodule information relative to the information in the lung nodule database.
- 19. The method of claim 17 wherein producing comprises using the decision tree to automatically create at least one of a result of the study and recommendation.
- 20. The method of claim 17 comprising allowing an operator to choose which information from the lung nodule database is used in decision tree.
- 21. The method of claim 17 wherein producing comprises comparing the patient's lung nodule information with a data base of patients of similar characteristics.
- 22. The method of claim 17 wherein producing comprises displaying the report on a computer screen.
